回譯視角下Narcopolis的翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告

【摘要】:《寐城》(Narcopolis)一書于2012年出版,具有豐富的文學(xué)價(jià)值和豐贍的歷史價(jià)值,尤其是其中描述中國片段部分,讓人不禁掩卷深思。我國大力施行"中國文化走出去"戰(zhàn)略以來,許多中華文化典籍及當(dāng)代優(yōu)秀文學(xué)作品已被翻譯成英語,文化輸出的步伐越邁越大,英譯中國作品輸出與譯者接觸回譯的機(jī)會(huì)呈正相關(guān),因而中國譯者在翻譯中可能會(huì)遇到更多回譯的現(xiàn)象,重視回譯已成為我們不可回避的選擇。在翻譯該小說的過程中,回譯現(xiàn)象占了很大篇幅,因此本文擬從回譯的視角對筆者的翻譯進(jìn)行評述。 自1970年代布瑞斯林(R. W. Brislin)將回譯作為跨文化研究的工具以來,回譯一直得到翻譯界的重視。該翻譯現(xiàn)象是全球文化交流和碰撞的必然結(jié)果,把異語文化創(chuàng)作翻譯納入理論體系,對現(xiàn)行的翻譯理論與技巧提出了挑戰(zhàn)。 在本文中,筆者按照回譯的內(nèi)容,將回譯分為文本型回譯和文化型回譯兩方面,以此對《寐城》中英文講述的中國故事進(jìn)行翻譯;同時(shí)論述翻譯過程中運(yùn)用的翻譯方法:歸化法、文本匹配法和音譯等方法。根據(jù)作者在翻譯過程中的經(jīng)驗(yàn)及感受,認(rèn)為回譯現(xiàn)象研究不僅有助于豐富傳統(tǒng)意義上的翻譯方法,更有可能為翻譯學(xué)新的分支學(xué)科發(fā)展提供資源,具有廣闊的研究前景。 作者發(fā)現(xiàn)文化型回譯和文本型回譯之間所采取的翻譯方法靈活度完全不同,,譯者應(yīng)根據(jù)實(shí)際翻譯素材,先區(qū)分二者,再運(yùn)用具體的翻譯方法。
[Abstract]:The book "Mei Cheng" (Narcopolis), published in 2012, has rich literary value and abundant historical value.Since the "going out of Chinese Culture" strategy has been vigorously implemented in China, many Chinese cultural classics and excellent contemporary literary works have been translated into English, and the pace of cultural output has increased with each passing day.There is a positive correlation between the output of Chinese works translated into English and the opportunities for the translator to contact the back translation. Therefore, Chinese translators may encounter more phenomena of back translation in translation, so it has become an unavoidable choice for us to pay attention to the back translation.In the process of translating the novel, the phenomenon of back translation occupies a great deal of space, so this paper intends to comment on the author's translation from the perspective of back translation.Since the 1970s, when Brislin RW. Brislin used it as a tool for cross-cultural research, it has received great attention in the field of translation.The phenomenon of translation is the inevitable result of global cultural exchange and collision. Bringing the translation of foreign cultural creation into the theoretical system challenges the current translation theories and techniques.In this paper, according to the content of the back translation, the author divides the back translation into two aspects: textual and cultural, in order to translate the Chinese story in both Chinese and English.At the same time, it discusses the translation methods used in the process of translation: domestication, text matching and transliteration.Based on the author's experience and feelings in the process of translation, it is considered that the study of the phenomenon of translation is not only helpful to enrich the traditional translation methods, but also provides resources for the development of new branches of translation studies, and has a broad research prospect.The author finds that the flexibility of translation methods is completely different between cultural and text-based translation. The translator should distinguish the two methods according to the actual translation materials and then use specific translation methods.
