從目的論看文學(xué)翻譯中的創(chuàng)造性叛逆

【摘要】:在當(dāng)前的翻譯研究中,文學(xué)翻譯已不再局限于傳統(tǒng)的對源語文本與目的語文本的研究,而是將其他諸多因素也納入其研究范圍!爸覍崱痹瓌t一度曾被視為評判譯文好壞的標準,但隨著譯者主體性研究的深入,文學(xué)翻譯的重要顯著特征之一創(chuàng)造性叛逆得到了前所未有的重視。傳統(tǒng)翻譯研究對創(chuàng)造性叛逆持否定態(tài)度,主張譯者應(yīng)將其創(chuàng)造性“最小化”;比較文學(xué)則提倡創(chuàng)造性叛逆在文學(xué)翻譯中的積極作用;由德國功能派理論發(fā)展而來的目的論指出,翻譯是一種基于源語文本的有目的的行為活動,決定任何翻譯過程的最高準則是整個翻譯行為的目的。這一理論無疑為研究這創(chuàng)造性叛逆提供了一個嶄新而有效的視角。 本文嘗試將目的論應(yīng)用于文學(xué)翻譯,從目的論的角度論證創(chuàng)造性叛逆在文學(xué)翻譯中的合理性與必要性,并以目的論規(guī)則作為衡量創(chuàng)造性叛逆的標準。本文首先通過對文學(xué)翻譯中不同參與者角色行為的分析,證明創(chuàng)造性叛逆是文學(xué)翻譯中不可避免的必然存在。然后通過對文學(xué)領(lǐng)域內(nèi)相關(guān)翻譯文本實例的分解剖析,闡明目的在實際的翻譯過程中對創(chuàng)造性叛逆所起的決定性作用。接著,論文以目的論規(guī)則闡述和評價創(chuàng)造性叛逆的質(zhì)量。本文最終在前人理論研究的基礎(chǔ)上,以自己收集的大量翻譯實例分析為驗證得出如下結(jié)論:文學(xué)翻譯與其他形式的翻譯一樣,在很大程度上受目的的控制,而創(chuàng)造性叛逆是保證文學(xué)翻譯的“充分性”的必要策略。創(chuàng)造性叛逆應(yīng)滿足雙重原則:充分原則與忠誠原則。充分原則要求創(chuàng)造性叛逆應(yīng)實現(xiàn)翻譯目的,忠誠原則限制了目的文本的合理功能的范圍,要求譯者承擔(dān)道德責(zé)任,以此確保創(chuàng)造性叛逆的可接受性。
[Abstract]:In the current translation studies, literary translation is no longer confined to the traditional study of the source and target languages, but also includes many other factors in its study. The principle of "faithfulness" was once regarded as a criterion for judging the quality of a translation. However, with the deepening of the study of the translator's subjectivity, creative treason, one of the most important features of literary translation, has received unprecedented attention. Traditional translation studies hold a negative attitude towards creative treason. It argues that translators should "minimize" their creativity; comparative literature advocates the positive role of creative treason in literary translation; Skopos theory, which is developed from the German functionalism theory; Translation is a purposeful behavioral activity based on the source text, and the highest criterion of any translation process is the purpose of the whole translation process. This theory undoubtedly provides a new and effective perspective for the study of this creative treason. This paper attempts to apply Skopos theory to literary translation and demonstrates the rationality and necessity of creative treason in literary translation from the perspective of Skopos theory. The Skopos rule is taken as the criterion of creative treason. Firstly, this paper analyzes the roles of different participants in literary translation. It is proved that creative treason is inevitable and inevitable in literary translation. The purpose plays a decisive role in the practical translation process of creative treason. Secondly, the thesis elaborates and evaluates the quality of creative treason with Skopos rules. Finally, this thesis is based on the previous theoretical studies. Based on the analysis of a large number of translation examples collected by myself, it is concluded that literary translation, like other forms of translation, is largely controlled by purpose. Creative treason is a necessary strategy to ensure the "adequacy" of literary translation. Creative treason should satisfy two principles: the principle of adequacy and the principle of loyalty. The principle of loyalty limits the scope of the reasonable function of the target text and requires the translator to assume moral responsibility in order to ensure the acceptability of creative treason.
