文章摘要：本文旨在研究《愛(ài)丁堡評(píng)論》自創(chuàng)刊伊始就帶有的反浪漫主義傾向,分析這種文學(xué)價(jià)值取向背后的政治涵義.本文從文化研究視角切入英國(guó)文學(xué)研究,指出以《愛(ài)丁堡評(píng)論》為代表的文學(xué)期刊如何參與到19世紀(jì)初期英國(guó)資產(chǎn)階級(jí)和貴族階層文化領(lǐng)導(dǎo)權(quán)的斗爭(zhēng)之中,其中的反浪漫主義取向在一定程度上操縱了19世紀(jì)前期英國(guó)的主流文學(xué)評(píng)論話(huà)語(yǔ),按照資產(chǎn)階級(jí)興味在審美意識(shí)形態(tài)上塑造了英國(guó)年輕一代的文化價(jià)值觀.本文關(guān)注文學(xué)期刊在社會(huì)政治和歷史進(jìn)程中所起的重要作用,對(duì)于從文化角度拓展英國(guó)文學(xué)研究具有一定的參考意義.

Abstr：This paper tries to address the innate anti-Romantic impulse of Edinburgh Review, reaching out for the political implications hidden behind the literary taste and values. Studying English literature from the perspective of Cultural Studies, it points out that Edinburgh Review, along with other literary journals, took part in the battle for cultural hegemony between bourgeoisie and aristocracy. Edinburgh Review manipulated the mainstream literary discourse in the early years of the 19^th century in Britain. With the aesthetic ideology of the bourgeoisie in vision, it helped to shape the cultural values for the younger generations in Britain. This paper investigates the important role that literary journals play in the course of politics and history, shedding some light on the study of English literature from the angle of Cultural Studies.
