【摘要】：功能文體學(xué)將語言看作是具有意義潛勢的語言系統(tǒng),是以韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語法為理論基礎(chǔ),它不僅僅局限于語言的內(nèi)部,而且從社會環(huán)境的層次對語言進(jìn)行分析。功能文體學(xué)是現(xiàn)代文體學(xué)的重要分支,它為分析文本提供了新的視角并在現(xiàn)代文體學(xué)中發(fā)揮著越來越重要的作用。艾麗絲·沃克(Alice Walker,1944-)是美國當(dāng)代黑人女詩人、小說家、社會運動人士和普利策獎獲得者,她關(guān)注黑人婦女的社會地位和自由,她在作品中對于女性在性別歧視和種族歧視流行的社會環(huán)境中為信仰、尊嚴(yán)和自由而奮斗的描寫獲得了極大的社會效應(yīng)。本文所選語料《日用家當(dāng)》(Everyday Use)是艾麗絲·沃克于1973年獲得國家文學(xué)藝術(shù)學(xué)院羅森塔爾獎的小說集《愛情與困惑:黑人婦女的故事》中的優(yōu)秀短篇小說。該部小說以母親的敘述展開故事情節(jié),描寫了母女三人之間的關(guān)系。文中母親是一位所受教育不多但卻有主見的農(nóng)村勞動婦女,而兩個女兒在性格特征、外表著裝和生活經(jīng)歷方面迥然不同。該部小說故事的高潮是母女三人面對象征著黑人文化遺產(chǎn)的被子時不同的選擇。國內(nèi)對艾麗絲·沃克《日用家當(dāng)》的研究多集中在女性主義批評、文化身份認(rèn)同、主題的文化隱喻和人物心理分析等方面,對艾麗絲·沃克《日用家當(dāng)》的功能文體分析相對比較少,在這種背景下,本文將利用功能文體學(xué)理論對該部作品進(jìn)行解析,從概念功能的及物性系統(tǒng)、人際意義的情態(tài)和語氣系統(tǒng)以及篇章功能的主述位結(jié)構(gòu)來對該部小說的語言特征進(jìn)行分析,以期為讀者理解該部小說提供新的視角;其次通過考察該部小說的語言特征,試圖發(fā)現(xiàn)隱藏這些特征背后艾麗絲·沃克真正的創(chuàng)作目的。本文共分五部分,第一章介紹了研究背景、研究意義和數(shù)據(jù)的收集方法等。第二章是文獻(xiàn)綜述,首先對艾麗絲·沃克的文學(xué)成就和先前對她的研究做了回顧,接著對該部小說和先前對該部小說的研究做了敘述,其次對功能文體學(xué)現(xiàn)有的研究做了簡要的介紹。第三章是理論框架,介紹了文體和文體學(xué)及其研究方法,重點介紹了功能文體學(xué)的理論基礎(chǔ)即語言的三大元功能:概念功能中的及物性、人際功能的情態(tài)和語氣以及篇章功能的主述位結(jié)構(gòu);其次,對語域理論做了介紹。第四章是本文的核心部分,本部分從概念功能中的及物性、人際功能中的情態(tài)和語氣以及篇章功能中主述位結(jié)構(gòu)角度來分析文本。第五部分,從情景語境中的語場,語旨和語式三方面對該部小說進(jìn)行分析。第六部分是結(jié)論部分,總結(jié)了研究的發(fā)現(xiàn)、本研究的不足之處和對未來研究的展望。
[Abstract]:Functional stylistics regards language as a language system with the potential of meaning, which is based on Halliday's systemic functional grammar. It is not only confined to the interior of language, but also analyzes language from the level of social environment. Functional stylistics is an important branch of modern stylistics, which provides a new perspective for text analysis and plays an increasingly important role in modern stylistics. Alice Walker (1944-) is a contemporary American black female poet, novelist, social campaigner and Pulitzer Prize winner who focuses on the social status and freedom of black women. Her portrayal of women's struggle for faith, dignity and freedom in the prevailing social environment of sexism and racial discrimination has had a great social effect. Everyday use, the corpus chosen in this paper, is an excellent short story from Alice Walker's Rosenthal novel Collection, Love and confusion: the Story of Black Women, which won the Rosenthal Prize at the National Academy of Literature and Art in 1973. The novel starts the story with the narration of the mother and describes the relationship between the mother and the daughter. In this paper, the mother is a rural laboring woman with little education but her own opinions, and the two daughters are very different in personality, appearance, dress and life experience. The climax of this novel story is the different choice between mother and daughter when facing the quilt which symbolizes the black cultural heritage. Domestic research on Alice Walker's Daily use is mainly focused on feminist criticism, cultural identity, cultural metaphor of the theme and psychoanalysis of the characters. The functional stylistic analysis of Alice Walker's Daily use is relatively few. Under this background, this paper will use the functional stylistic theory to analyze the works, from the conceptual functional and material systems. The modal and mood system of interpersonal meaning and the thematic and thematic structure of the text function are used to analyze the linguistic features of the novel in order to provide a new perspective for readers to understand the novel. Trying to find out the real purpose of Alice Walker's creation behind the hidden features. This paper is divided into five parts. The first chapter introduces the research background, research significance and data collection methods. The second chapter is a literature review, which first reviews Alice Walker's literary achievements and previous studies of her, and then narrates the novel and previous studies of the novel. Secondly, the current research on functional stylistics is briefly introduced. The third chapter is the theoretical framework, which introduces stylistic and stylistic studies and their research methods, focusing on the theoretical basis of functional stylistics, namely, the three metafunctions of language: conceptual function and transitivity. The modality and mood of interpersonal function and the thematic and rheme structure of textual function. Secondly, the register theory is introduced. The fourth chapter is the core part of this paper. This part analyzes the text from the perspective of conceptual function and transitivity, modal and mood in interpersonal function and thematic structure in text function. The fifth part analyzes the novel from three aspects: field, tenor and style. The sixth part is the conclusion, summarizes the research findings, the shortcomings of this study and prospects for future research.
