近年美國情節(jié)系列劇中國人形象研究
[Abstract]:Before the 1960s, because of the fundamental differences in ideology between China and the United States, as well as the political divide, Cultural differences and the lack of exchanges between China and the United States in the early years, together with the "Chinese exclusion Act" enacted by the United States Congress in the 1880s and the current of "yellow peril" prevailing in the society at that time, Make the Chinese image as a whole by a certain degree of distortion and misreading and stereotyped, conceptualized. The misreading of the Chinese image on American screens is distorted, and with the international influence of the cultural products represented by American movies and TV dramas, they spread to every corner of the world in a swift and violent way. The Chinese image presented in the TV series has been further spread and strengthened, which has a subtle influence on the international community's impression of the Chinese people and the overall view of the Chinese national image. Based on the content analysis and text analysis of 73 Chinese characters in 15 American plot series in recent years. This paper intends to understand whether the Chinese image constructed on the screen of the United States has changed under the background of the great era of Sino-American political exchanges, economic and trade exchanges, cultural exchanges, and so on, and the underlying reasons behind these views. Five types of Chinese characters appear in American TV dramas: officials, gang members, spies, businessmen and civilians. In addition to the Chinese civilian image shaping tends to positive, the latter four categories of Chinese image tend to be negative, which involves the image of the Chinese government is in a negative. The distortion and misreading of the Chinese in American TV dramas include the reasons why China, as the "other" of American culture, misread the Chinese political system, economy and military, as well as the image construction of the hegemonic culture at home and abroad by the United States, but there is no denying that, To some extent, the problem of contemporary China provides space for foreign imagination. As the collective imagination of a nation and a nation, foreign images have the dual function of knowing themselves and others, and they can not only understand the foreign countries but also reflect on themselves through these images. Therefore, China needs to improve its soft power so as to get rid of the embarrassment imposed on China by western countries.
