從改編到原創(chuàng)—等效翻譯理論視角下《神探夏洛克》對(duì)原作的改編研究

【摘要】:阿瑟·柯南·道爾(1859-1930)是英國(guó)作家和醫(yī)生,因創(chuàng)作了福爾摩斯偵探小說(shuō)而聞名于世,其偵探小說(shuō)全部收錄于《福爾摩斯探案全集》,被認(rèn)為是犯罪小說(shuō)的里程碑。而由史蒂文·莫法特(1961-)、馬克·加蒂斯(1966-)主創(chuàng),英國(guó)廣播公司出品的電視連續(xù)劇《神探夏洛克》,是對(duì)柯南·道爾福爾摩斯探案小說(shuō)的現(xiàn)代改編。在此之前,二人因主創(chuàng)科幻電視劇《神秘博士》而名聲大噪。通過(guò)英國(guó)廣播公司的改編,私家偵探夏洛克·福爾摩斯及其助手約翰·華生的經(jīng)典探案故事在二十一世紀(jì)得以重現(xiàn)。兩位主創(chuàng)創(chuàng)作《神探夏洛克》是為了不讓神探僅局限于維多利亞時(shí)代,而是把他搬到現(xiàn)代,讓21世紀(jì)的觀眾與維多利亞時(shí)代的讀者有著相似的激動(dòng)、緊張和時(shí)代感。而翻譯家金杽的等效翻譯所追求的是即便譯文與原文在形式上有很大的不同,目的語(yǔ)讀者和源語(yǔ)讀者依然能有著大致相同的感受,這與兩位主創(chuàng)潛意識(shí)中追求等效改編的理念不謀而合。本文旨在通過(guò)金杽的等效論,分析該劇改編過(guò)程中原作中經(jīng)典元素的移植、主要角色從維多利亞時(shí)代的人到現(xiàn)代人的轉(zhuǎn)化,以及對(duì)部分角色的豐富。這三種改編手法的關(guān)鍵是尋找并創(chuàng)造原作中各種事物的對(duì)等物。其結(jié)果便是,改編作品通過(guò)對(duì)原作的超越,不再是原作的復(fù)制品或附屬品,而成為全新的原創(chuàng)作品。
[Abstract]:Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was an English writer and doctor who was famous for writing Sherlock Holmes detective stories. His detective stories, all in Sherlock Holmes, are regarded as a milestone in crime fiction, and are created by Steven Moffat 1961-Pin, Mark Gatin 1966). The BBC TV series Sherlock is a modern adaptation of Conan Doyle's detective novel. They became famous for their science fiction series, Doctor of Mysteries. Adapted by the BBC, The classic detective story of Sherlock Holmes and his assistant John Watson was recreated in 21th century. The two of them created Sherlock to keep the detective away from the Victorian era. Instead of moving him to modern times, the audience in 21th century had a similar thrill, tension and epoch to Victorian readers.The equivalent translation pursued by translator Jin Yi was that even though the translation was very different in form from the original, The target language reader and the source language reader can still have roughly the same feeling, which coincides with the idea of seeking equivalent adaptation in the two creative subconscious minds. This paper analyzes the transplants of classical elements in the adaptation of the play, the transformation of the main characters from Victorian people to modern people. And the enrichment of some of the characters. The key to these three adaptations is to find and create equivalents of things in the original. The result is that the adaptation is no longer a replica or appendage of the original by transcending the original. And become a new original work.
