【摘要】:21世紀(jì)伊始,《古墓麗影》作為好萊塢第一部由電子游戲改編的大制作影片上映,開啟了新千年“電子游戲改編電影”的大門。雖然早在20世紀(jì)80年代就有電子游戲被改編成電影,但其影響力遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不能與《古墓麗影》相比。在數(shù)字技術(shù)的支持下,“電子游戲改編電影”不斷完善自己的制片機(jī)制與改編方式,逐漸跟隨著新好萊塢的變革大潮走進(jìn)數(shù)字好萊塢這個(gè)全新的語(yǔ)境。 “電子游戲改編電影”的出現(xiàn)并不是簡(jiǎn)單的巧合。從經(jīng)濟(jì)上出發(fā),電子游戲公司進(jìn)入電影領(lǐng)域?qū)⑹且环N游戲與電影的利益雙贏。索尼借助自己龐大產(chǎn)業(yè)的觸角,將曾經(jīng)在游戲產(chǎn)業(yè)與自己合作的CAPCOM公司研發(fā)的電子游戲《生化危機(jī)》成功改編成系列電影,不僅給索尼帶來(lái)了巨大的利潤(rùn),同時(shí)也是通過(guò)電影讓更多受眾了解了這款游戲。EA游戲公司通過(guò)與夢(mèng)工廠的合作將自己最受歡迎的游戲作品《極品飛車》改編為電影且在近期上映,而該公司也作為制片方出現(xiàn)在電影播放前,這將是它進(jìn)軍好萊塢電影領(lǐng)域的第一步。電子游戲的制作逐漸呈現(xiàn)出“藝術(shù)”的屬性,作為具有包容性特征的電影自然可以和當(dāng)下的電子游戲進(jìn)行深度結(jié)合。無(wú)論是電子游戲或是電影,如今這兩者的制作都離不開數(shù)字技術(shù),數(shù)字技術(shù)的飛速發(fā)展恰好加速了它們的合作?梢哉f(shuō)“電子游戲改編電影”是結(jié)合經(jīng)濟(jì)、藝術(shù)、技術(shù)三點(diǎn)特征應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。 距離“電子游戲改編電影”在好萊塢正式亮相以來(lái)已有14年,影片如《無(wú)敵破壞王》、《馬克思·佩恩》、《殺手47》等約有二十余部,在數(shù)量上已經(jīng)形成了一定的集群。依照這一現(xiàn)象而言“電子游戲改編電影”應(yīng)該成為新好萊塢超常規(guī)類型中新的電影類型?蛇z憾的是“電子游戲改編電影”至今仍然存在著許多尚未解決的難題,這些難題則是該類影片無(wú)法成為電影類型的原因之一!半娮佑螒蚋木庪娪啊辈](méi)有形成一段時(shí)間的主打周期,它的票房成績(jī)起伏波動(dòng)巨大,總是在失敗與成功之間徘徊不定。雖然“電子游戲改編電影”從表面而言已經(jīng)完成了自己的美學(xué)自足,可這完全依托于它建立在其他電影類型的前提之下,也就是說(shuō)“電子游戲改編電影”并沒(méi)有真正意義上成為一種新的電影類型,至今為止只能說(shuō)是好萊塢中的一種電影現(xiàn)象。 隨著數(shù)字技術(shù)和電子游戲的發(fā)展,依托于兩者的“電子游戲改編電影”不會(huì)只是好萊塢的一種電影現(xiàn)象,好萊塢依然在通過(guò)制作新的“電子游戲改編電影”去發(fā)現(xiàn)和探索新的類型建構(gòu)之路,并期望它成為數(shù)字好萊塢的新興價(jià)值。
