基于學(xué)位論文英文摘要語料庫的情態(tài)附加語主位應(yīng)用頻度對比研究

【摘要】: 本文的研究是基于韓禮德創(chuàng)立的系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論的語篇分析。本研究首先從中國碩博士學(xué)位論文全文數(shù)據(jù)庫中隨機(jī)抽取了200篇論文的英文摘要,建立了一個(gè)小型的語料庫,其中包括文科碩/博士論文英文摘要,工科碩/博士論文英文摘要各50篇;然后,運(yùn)用韓禮德的三大元功能之一的語篇功能情態(tài)附加語主位理論,對基于200篇的論文英文摘要所加工建成的語料庫的語料進(jìn)行了情態(tài)附加語主位應(yīng)用頻度對比研究。 為了保證統(tǒng)計(jì)結(jié)果和研究結(jié)論的可靠性,本研究利用計(jì)算機(jī)輔助檢索軟件AntConc3.2.1w,先對韓禮德理論中所提及的常用例詞在主位結(jié)構(gòu)中使用頻度進(jìn)行具體分析,然后將這些例詞分類合并,對兩大類別情態(tài)附加語中不同類別使用頻度進(jìn)行對比研究,最后合并細(xì)分類別,對語氣和評論這兩大類情態(tài)附加語的使用頻度進(jìn)行整體分析。 通過這樣自下而上的逐層分析,本文對四類論文英文摘要在主位結(jié)構(gòu)中使用情態(tài)附加語的情況進(jìn)行了對比分析,分析結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn):整體上,情態(tài)附加語主位的使用頻率不高。在學(xué)科對比方面,文科研究生在論文英文摘要當(dāng)中使用語氣附加語主位的頻率要高于工科研究生,而兩個(gè)學(xué)科的論文英文摘要在評論附加語主位的使用頻率上較為相似;在同學(xué)科不同研究層次的對比研究方面,文科博士研究生使用兩大類情態(tài)附加語主位的頻率高于文科碩士研究生,而工科方面,碩士研究生偏向于更多使用語氣附加語主位,博士研究生偏向于更多使用評論附加語主位。針對以上發(fā)現(xiàn),本文還對可能的原因進(jìn)行了分析,以期對學(xué)位論文摘要寫作在情態(tài)附加語主位的使用上給出合理的建議。
[Abstract]:Based on Halliday's Systemic Functional Linguistics theory, this paper first randomly extracts 200 abstracts from the full-text database of Chinese doctoral dissertations and establishes a small corpus, which includes English abstracts of liberal arts and doctoral dissertations, and English abstracts of engineering and doctoral dissertations. Then, using Halliday's theory of modal adjunct themes, one of the three metafunctions, a comparative study of the frequency of modal adjunct themes in the corpus of 200 abstracts is carried out.
In order to ensure the reliability of the statistical results and research conclusions, this study uses the computer-aided retrieval software AntConc 3.2.1w to analyze the frequency of the use of common case words in the thematic structure mentioned in Halliday's theory, and then classifies and merges these case words to improve the frequency of different types of modal adjuncts in the two categories. Finally, the use frequency of modal adjuncts such as mood and comment is analyzed.
Through this bottom-up layer-by-layer analysis, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the use of modal adjuncts in the thematic structure of four types of English abstracts. The results show that, on the whole, the frequency of the use of modal adjuncts in thematic structure is not high. The frequency of themes is higher than that of Engineering postgraduates, while the frequency of commentary adjunct themes in English abstracts of theses of two disciplines is similar. In the comparative study of different research levels in the same disciplines, the frequency of the use of two types of modal adjunct themes by liberal arts postgraduates is higher than that of Postgraduates of liberal arts, while that of engineering postgraduates is higher. In view of the above findings, this paper also analyzes the possible reasons, in order to give reasonable suggestions on the use of modal adjunct themes in the abstract writing of dissertations.
