【摘要】： 摘要是一種重要的寫作文體,幾乎所有的學(xué)術(shù)論文和學(xué)術(shù)文章都會隨附一篇摘要,它反映該文章的研究重點和全貌。一篇好的摘要能使編輯者獲得有關(guān)該研究的信息,從而提高文章獲得認(rèn)可繼而發(fā)表的幾率。另外,一篇好的摘要能夠激發(fā)讀者的興趣,進(jìn)而閱讀整篇文章。一些中國作者,甚至一些高級學(xué)習(xí)者,他們寫作的英文摘要不夠理想,這在一定程度上阻礙了中國學(xué)者的成果被外國同領(lǐng)域的學(xué)者了解和運(yùn)用。本研究的目的在于發(fā)現(xiàn)中英學(xué)者在英文摘要寫作中的不同之處,并且對作為第二語言的英語寫作教學(xué)提出一些建議。文獻(xiàn)綜述和分析從宏觀到微觀展開,包括摘要寫作概況分析,主謂推進(jìn)分析和詞匯豐富性分析三個方面。本研究共搜集了博士論文摘要200篇,中國學(xué)習(xí)者和英語作者各100篇,并建立兩個數(shù)據(jù)組,應(yīng)用一系列專業(yè)軟件(如Frequency和Range等)對數(shù)據(jù)進(jìn)行統(tǒng)計分析。作者又從兩個數(shù)據(jù)組中各抽取20個樣本,逐一地閱讀和分析,以發(fā)現(xiàn)它們的結(jié)構(gòu)和主題的進(jìn)展有何異同。研究發(fā)現(xiàn)中國作者的博士論文摘要長度普遍長于英語為母語的作者寫的摘要長度;內(nèi)容上也各有側(cè)重。另外,英語作者使用更多的主謂推進(jìn),這使他們的文章更流暢自然。兩組摘要的詞匯豐富性也不同,英語作者的摘要的詞匯變化明顯高于中國作者,后者使用更多的低頻詞,但兩者的詞匯密度卻沒有顯著差別。所以中國學(xué)習(xí)者應(yīng)增加摘要寫作的知識和提高這方面的技巧,注意摘要的結(jié)構(gòu)、內(nèi)容的進(jìn)展和詞匯的選用等方面。
