【摘要】：作為一種文體，摘要有著自己的語言特點、謀篇機制和篇章模式。目前對于社科類學術論文摘要的研究，主要集中在于宏觀的謀篇機制與語步分析，如Hoey（1983）的“問題—解決”模式、Salvager-Meyer (1990)提出的“引言—方法—結論—討論”模式（即“IMRD”模式）等，或者集中在微觀的語言特點上面。而“小句關系可以發(fā)生在語篇結構的各個層面上。若干個小句關系聯(lián)合構成語篇模式（McCarthy，1990；Hoey，l983），或修辭結構(MannThompson，1978)，或語步。”（楊玉晨，2011）于是本文提出了從小句關系的角度來探索英語社科類學術論文摘要的設想，并提出以下三個研究問題：（1）社科類學術論文摘要中存在哪些類型的小句關系？（2）最常見的小句關系有哪些？（3）社科類學術論文摘要中是否存在基于小句關系的語篇修辭模式？ 本文采取定性與定量相結合的分析方法，試圖從Hoey和Winter的小句關系理論出發(fā)，結合Mann和Thompson的修辭結構理論（RST），探索英語社科期刊論文摘要中的小句關系，并根據(jù)小句關系的使用頻率推導出基于小句關系的語篇修辭模式。本研究的語料為60篇SSCI期刊上2010年收錄的論文摘要（語料收集于2010年）。在分析過程中，作者首先借助Winter（1977）的詞匯標記理論，將語篇劃分成小句，然后運用小句關系理論與RST理論加以分析，最后試圖從中推導出社科類學術論文的語篇模式。 從理論角度來講，本文的研究發(fā)現(xiàn)證實了Hoey的“問題—解決”模式在社科類學術論文中有著大量的運用。在應用方面，本文總結出的小句關系標記詞匯、初步探討得出的語篇模式對社科類學術論文的理解、寫作與翻譯有著一定的啟示意義。
