Abstract 
[Objective]： An experimental study so called the precise out-patient appointment to the exact time was carried out in Shanghai Stomatological Disease Center.[Methods]：402 patients were selected to attend this study. Firstly，，the patients were randomly coded and each patient was given a exact time for his appointment. Education was carried out ahead of the appointment day and the patients were reminded to come to our hospital on time by means of text messages and phone calls. [Results]：1）The average waiting time in this study was obviously shortened compared to the data in the past. （P<0.001）2）The appointment sequence number showed positively related to the waiting time（r=0.455，P<0.001）while ages showed no obvious relationship. （r=0.096, P=0.060） [Conclusion] The out-patient precise appointment to the exact time could reduce the waiting time for our patients.
