The modern management system practiced by management around the world could be traced back to the industrial revolution when management theorists and practitioners starts thinking that how organizations could be effectively managed (Robbins & Coulter, 2007). Managers during that time was confronted with the dilemma that how to manage their organization in the best possible manner so the efficiency and effectiveness of the business organization is ensured. This led to the development of different schools of thoughts. Scholars belonging to these different schools of thought point out different procedures that the management should follow that could enable them to accomplish effectively and efficiently the organization's long-term goals and objectives (Alvesson & Willmott, 2003).
