1. Introduction to the Topic:
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is emerging as one of the most discussed issue these days as governments as well as organizations participating in different business activities are forming different rules and procedures that in turn enable them to accomplish the desired objectives along with some social goals (Tang & Hizu, 2007). It is worth mentioning that in most of the cases two types of regulations could be found, the government imposed regulations which may be termed as the minimum requirements, and the self-imposed regulations where the government of the country has given some relaxation, however in order to emerge as good citizen the organization itself has formed different laws and procedures (Balmer et al., 2007). Realizing the significance of corporate social responsibility concept, efforts will be directed in this paper to first present some challenges that responsible enterprises in a globalised world are facing and then map out a plausible set of interlocking arrangements at regulatory, organizational, stakeholder and individual levels that might better support or force responsible enterprise.
