基于語料庫的《圍城》英日譯本中前景化語言翻譯的對比研究

《圍城》是錢鐘書所著的長篇諷刺小說。自出版以來,被翻譯成多國語言,流傳世界各地,廣為人們所推崇!扒熬盎崩碚撌俏捏w學上的一個核心理論,指將常規(guī)的語言作為背景,出于藝術目的,通過對語言進行調整,偏離常規(guī),使具有文學性、藝術性的內容顯現(xiàn)、突出的手段!秶恰纷鳛橐徊恐S刺幽默小說,作者對語言的巧妙運用,以及其幽默、風趣的語言風格是本書的一大特色。本書含有大量“前景化”語言,即通過運用偏離常規(guī)的語言,達到表現(xiàn)人物性格,刻畫社會風貌,以及表達幽默、諷刺的目的。前景化語言是《圍城》文學性、藝術性的重要體現(xiàn),因此,譯者對前景化語言——即語言偏離手法的處理變得極其重要。譯者在處理前景化語言時,或保留前景化語言的突出特色,并完整的展現(xiàn)前景化語言的形式和語義,或忽略前景化語言的形式,只保留語義。不同的翻譯策略會帶給讀者不同的閱讀體驗。本文在前景化理論的指導下,選取《圍城》原文及英、日兩譯本,建立三語語料庫,將各譯本對語言偏離現(xiàn)象的處理結果進行對比,研究不同譯本譯者在翻譯“前景化”語言時采取的翻譯策略有何不同,及其原因。通過研究各譯本在五個語言層次上的表現(xiàn),總結出兩種語言之間的遠近關系,如字形、發(fā)音和文化等方面,會對譯者在處理前景化語言時選擇何種翻譯策略產生重要影響。日譯本在前景化語言的處理上通常使用保持其原型、原意,盡量將前景化語言的特色傳遞給讀者的翻譯策略。而英譯本則通過運用釋義、功能對等等翻譯策略表現(xiàn)前景化語言所要表達的含義,舍棄前景化語言的形式和特色。
