系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)視角下中國英語學(xué)習(xí)者公共演講的多模態(tài)話語分析

當(dāng)前,有關(guān)英語公共演講的研究多是基于文本的話語分析或者修辭領(lǐng)域中的修辭批評(píng)。相對(duì)而言,對(duì)動(dòng)態(tài)演講語篇的研究比較有限,而基于系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論對(duì)英語公共演講語篇的多模態(tài)話語分析更少。伴隨著各種多模態(tài)分析軟件的升級(jí)優(yōu)化,對(duì)多模態(tài)資源的量化統(tǒng)計(jì)和分析也日臻準(zhǔn)確和便捷。本文從系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)視角探討了多模態(tài)話語分析理論在英語公共演講中的應(yīng)用問題,并在此基礎(chǔ)上建立了一個(gè)適用于國內(nèi)英語公共演講音視頻分析的多模態(tài)話語分析框架。研究中主要的視覺和聽覺模態(tài)都采用ELAN和Praat進(jìn)行標(biāo)注統(tǒng)計(jì),在此基礎(chǔ)上作者首先分析了英語公共演講中多模態(tài)符號(hào)的分布特征,然后解釋這些模態(tài)是如何作用并構(gòu)建概念功能、人際功能和組篇功能,演講者又如何通過這三大功能的實(shí)現(xiàn)吸引觀眾注意力,提高說服力以及縮短和觀眾之間心理距離等演講目的。本研究的主要?jiǎng)?chuàng)新點(diǎn)在于將演講前/后兩個(gè)階段納入研究范圍,并將演講過程分成若干語步,從不同階段解讀和分析各種模態(tài)的分布規(guī)律和功能實(shí)現(xiàn)。研究發(fā)現(xiàn):(1)演講者在演講過程中更擅長使用聽覺模態(tài)來達(dá)到自己的演講目的,通過富有變化的語音語調(diào),停頓,重音等語音特征吸引觀眾注意力,實(shí)現(xiàn)組篇功能。降調(diào)、重音和陳述語氣是...
