唐代是中國詩歌發(fā)展的全盛時期,僅在《全唐詩》中,就收錄了近三千位詩人的約五萬首詩歌。對唐詩的英譯活動最早開始于十九世紀上半葉,前期以西方學者為主,他們主要利用詩歌去探尋中國文化,且試圖給譯文披上英詩的外衣。隨著中國文化與主體意識的覺醒,唐詩英譯開始更多的采用異化策略,企圖進行原文復制。然而,翻譯必然會引起原詩的瓦解,詩歌的可譯性并不意味著原文和譯文間能實現(xiàn)完全對等,如何最大程度的重現(xiàn)原詩風采是所有譯者一直以來在探索的話題。不同譯者根據(jù)自己對唐詩的理解在譯文重構的過程中選取不同的策略,各有側(cè)重。有些譯者關注詩歌的形式,如音步、節(jié)奏等,注重重構詩歌的音韻美;有些譯者則著力于實現(xiàn)詩歌每一個單獨意象的完整呈現(xiàn),而不是拘泥于詩體格式。中國古典詩歌意韻兼?zhèn)?究其根本,在于意境的塑造�；诖�,本文認為唐詩英譯要回歸詩歌本質(zhì),關注意境的重構,才能更好的傳達出原詩的魅力。并采用格式塔意象這一理論去研究唐詩英譯,探尋合適的策略。格式塔意象這一概念由姜秋霞博士在《文學翻譯中的審美過程:格式塔意象再造》中首次提出,指普遍存在于文學文本中的具有整體意義的意象。姜博士認為文學翻譯的成功與否關鍵在于格式塔意象再造,...
