英國(guó)小說(shuō)家沃爾特·司各特爵士（Sir Walter Scott,1771-1832）是蘇格蘭民族英雄,譽(yù)為“蘇格蘭旅游業(yè)之父”,其文學(xué)作品“發(fā)明了蘇格蘭”、“構(gòu)建了蘇格蘭文化身份”。然而,一直以來(lái),我國(guó)受主流英國(guó)文學(xué)史觀的影響,忽視了英國(guó)文學(xué)中的民族復(fù)雜性和多樣性,也因此忽視了司各特作品中的蘇格蘭性,缺乏對(duì)其作品漢譯中蘇格蘭性的研究�！锻トR》（Waverley,or Tis Sixty Years Since,1814）是司各特首部歷史小說(shuō),其蘇格蘭風(fēng)景描寫超越背景設(shè)置的需要,成為承載蘇格蘭性,即體現(xiàn)作者蘇格蘭認(rèn)同、展現(xiàn)蘇格蘭異質(zhì)的前景。本文以風(fēng)景理論為描述性框架,韋努蒂異化理論為翻譯批評(píng)標(biāo)準(zhǔn),回答了以下問題:原文中蘇格蘭風(fēng)景種類有哪些?這些風(fēng)景如何揭示作者的創(chuàng)作意圖,展示其中蘊(yùn)含的蘇格蘭異質(zhì)?譯文中的蘇格蘭異質(zhì)如何完整呈現(xiàn)或是為何缺失?通過(guò)考察原作、對(duì)比原作和譯作,本文發(fā)現(xiàn)司各特通過(guò)描繪蘇格蘭自然風(fēng)景以及人文景致展示的蘇格蘭風(fēng)習(xí),構(gòu)建的迷人獨(dú)特的蘇格蘭形象,喚起蘇格蘭人民對(duì)蘇格蘭民族文化的忠誠(chéng)。譯者由于受主流英國(guó)文學(xué)史觀的影響,缺乏識(shí)別原文中蘇格蘭異質(zhì)的意識(shí),采用了透明翻譯策略,對(duì)...
