因果復(fù)句是語法結(jié)構(gòu)的重要組成部分。在因果復(fù)句的研究中,對因果連詞的研究尤其重要。然而,以往學(xué)者對因果連詞的研究大多是共時研究,歷時研究很少。本研究選擇英漢原因連詞作為研究對象,主要解決以下三個問題:（1）英語原因連詞的原型特征在語用頻率、句法位置和語義強度三個方面經(jīng)歷了什么演變歷程?（2）漢語原因連詞的原型特征在語用頻率、句法位置和語義強度三個方面經(jīng)歷了什么演變歷程?（3）英漢原因連詞的原型特征演變有何異同?其理據(jù)是什么?首先,本研究基于原型理論和采用定量分析的方法找出各時期英漢原因連詞原型的語用頻率;其次,探究各時期英漢原因連詞原型的標(biāo)記模式和其所連接的因果復(fù)句的語序;再次,探究各時期英漢原因連詞原型所連接的因果復(fù)句的主客觀語義;最后,對比英漢原因連詞原型特征演變的異同并解釋其理據(jù)。本研究的主要發(fā)現(xiàn)如下:（1）英語原因連詞的原型特征演變。首先,英語原因連詞的原型演變?yōu)閒or<for<for<because,其語用頻率一直保持在65%以上;其次,英語原因連詞原型的標(biāo)記模式一直居中占優(yōu)勢和果-因語序一直為優(yōu)勢語序;最后,英語原因連詞原型的主觀義頻率演變?yōu)?1.61%、6...
