【摘要】：在這篇論文中,筆者探討了法語在魁北克保持其主導(dǎo)地位所面臨的挑戰(zhàn)�？笨�,由于歷史原因以及其特殊的地理位置,在語言方面,有著法語為主導(dǎo),英語日益興起,各種移民語言共存的特點(diǎn)。早在四個(gè)多世紀(jì)以前,法國人便來到魁北克這片領(lǐng)土,法語及法蘭西文化便在這片土地上生根發(fā)芽。對于法裔魁北克人及其后代而言,法語不僅僅是溝通的工具,更承載了魁北克人對本民族的深深認(rèn)同。自18世紀(jì)英國人到來后,在魁北克,關(guān)于法語地位的爭論從未停止過。一方面,法裔魁北克人及其后代要求法語在任何領(lǐng)域都占主導(dǎo)地位,另一方面,英裔魁北克人力求為英語爭取更大的使用空間�？笨苏蚕嗬^頒布了一些法律,設(shè)置了一些機(jī)構(gòu)來尋求語言上的“平靜”,事實(shí)證明,這些措施也確實(shí)取得了一定成效——如今的魁北克極大地扭轉(zhuǎn)了19世紀(jì)上半葉時(shí)被英化的面貌,法語在幾乎所有領(lǐng)域又重新占據(jù)了主導(dǎo)地位。當(dāng)前,除卻一直存在于加拿大聯(lián)邦政府和魁北克政府之間的語言政策的矛盾外,魁北克的人口變化以及世界全球化的深入發(fā)展等因素也使得法語在魁北克面臨的挑戰(zhàn)日益嚴(yán)峻。這篇論文由兩部分組成。第一部分詳細(xì)介紹了魁北克多語言環(huán)境的形成,探討了為何法語成為魁北克最重要的語言以及回顧了法語主導(dǎo)地位的確立過程,重點(diǎn)介紹了101法案如何明確規(guī)定法語在各領(lǐng)域的使用;第二部分則主要闡述法語在魁北克的現(xiàn)狀,從多角度分析了法語在魁北克保持其主導(dǎo)地位面臨的挑戰(zhàn)并就此提出了些許意見。
[Abstract]:In this paper, the author explores the challenges that French faces in maintaining its dominance in Quebec. Quebec, due to historical reasons and its special geographical location, has the characteristics of French as the dominant language and English as the rising language, and all kinds of immigrant languages coexist. More than four centuries ago, the French came to Quebec, where French and French culture took root. For the French-born Quebec and its descendants, French is not only a tool for communication, but also a symbol of Quebec's deep recognition of its people. Since the arrival of the British in the 18 th century, the debate over the status of French has never stopped in Quebec. On the one hand, French Quebec and their descendants demand French to dominate in any field, on the other hand, English Quebec strive for greater use of English. The Quebec government has also enacted laws and set up agencies to seek "calm" in the language. These measures have also paid off-Quebec has dramatically reversed the English version of the first half of the 19th century, and French has returned to dominance in almost all areas. At present, in addition to the language policy contradiction between the federal government of Canada and the government of Quebec, the population changes of Quebec and the further development of the world globalization also make the challenge of French in Quebec increasingly severe. The paper consists of two parts. The first part introduces the formation of Quebec's multilingual environment, discusses why French has become the most important language in Quebec, and reviews the process of establishing the dominant position of French. Emphasis was placed on how Act 101 clearly regulates the use of French in all fields; The second part mainly expounds the present situation of French in Quebec, analyzes the challenge that French faces to maintain its dominant position in Quebec from various angles and puts forward some suggestions.
