《兄弟》的幽默風(fēng)格在德譯本中的傳遞

【摘要】:風(fēng)格的翻譯是再現(xiàn)文學(xué)作品藝術(shù)魅力的重要因素。本文以《兄弟》的德譯本為研究對象進(jìn)行個案研究,探討怎樣才能最大程度地再現(xiàn)文學(xué)作品風(fēng)格。風(fēng)格到底能不能被翻譯以及能被何種程度地翻譯一直是翻譯界爭論的話題。本文比較了古今中外的學(xué)者對于風(fēng)格的定義并研究了這些定義背后的本質(zhì),最終總結(jié)了"風(fēng)格"所包含的三大要素,即:特定的語言手段,語境和效果。根據(jù)萊斯的文本類型學(xué)理論和德國科爾邁爾的觀點(diǎn),文學(xué)翻譯的主要目標(biāo)是達(dá)成美學(xué)效果的功能對等;這和風(fēng)格的第三個要素"效果"相符。列維認(rèn)為獨(dú)特的語言形式所造成的韻律美和創(chuàng)新性正是體現(xiàn)文學(xué)作品風(fēng)格的重要因素,所以在翻譯文學(xué)作品時獨(dú)特的語言構(gòu)造需要被特別地重視;這和風(fēng)格的第一個要素"特定的語言手段"相符。同時馬克斯坦認(rèn)為,文學(xué)作品中的話語總是帶有更加豐富的語義,因此譯者在翻譯時需要認(rèn)真的分析具體的語境,才能準(zhǔn)確地傳達(dá)出其聯(lián)想意和隱含意;這和風(fēng)格的第二個要素"語境"相符。結(jié)合上述理論和"風(fēng)格"的三個要素,本文分別從語音(特別的語言手段)、語義(語境層面)和修辭(效果層面)三個角度對《兄弟》中體現(xiàn)風(fēng)格的手段進(jìn)行了分類,并選取了一些具有代表性的例子進(jìn)行詳細(xì)的分析。語音層面具體指擬聲詞的連用,語義層面包括"數(shù)詞"和"臟話"兩部分,而修辭層面挑選出了出現(xiàn)頻率最高的明喻,暗喻,夸張和排比這四種修辭方法。在分析這些例子時,筆者分別從語言手段,語境和效果三個角度來衡量其是否真正地傳遞出了原著幽默諷刺的效果;趯Α缎值堋穬蓚譯本的對比筆者發(fā)現(xiàn),通過運(yùn)用直譯,替換,解釋,意譯,改寫,補(bǔ)償?shù)榷喾N方法原文的風(fēng)格可以被傳遞。具體到文本例子的分析,一共有六點(diǎn)結(jié)論:(1)在翻譯擬聲詞時,最好是在目標(biāo)語中找到對應(yīng)的模擬聲音的詞;如果找不到,則有三種解決方法,要么指出擬聲詞所模擬的對象,要么對文章的意思進(jìn)行解釋或改寫。(2)當(dāng)數(shù)詞扮演的是節(jié)拍器的角色時,它必須被準(zhǔn)確地字譯;當(dāng)數(shù)詞主要體現(xiàn)程度副詞的功能時,譯者可以用合適的副詞代替它,或者補(bǔ)充上其他詞句,只要這些詞句能突出原文所強(qiáng)調(diào)的程度即可。(3)"臟話"不能省略。如果目標(biāo)語中有與源語言相對應(yīng)的"臟話"時,可直接翻譯;如果沒有,譯者可以根據(jù)原文的意思進(jìn)行意譯,或者之后在文中的其他地方補(bǔ)償這種粗俗的效果。(4)如果譯文讀者根據(jù)自己的文化背景和基本認(rèn)知能夠理解原文的比喻手法時,則采取直譯的手法;反之,譯者應(yīng)該做相應(yīng)的解釋或者改動。(5)一般情況下,夸張的效果都可以通過直譯來實(shí)現(xiàn)。(6)排比手法在翻譯時最重要的就是要體現(xiàn)出它重復(fù)性的結(jié)構(gòu),如果直譯困難,則譯者可以自己創(chuàng)造出新的相似結(jié)構(gòu)來,只要這種結(jié)構(gòu)能夠體現(xiàn)出音律美和表達(dá)的遞進(jìn)效果即可。風(fēng)格雖然可以被傳遞,但是也有一定的局限性。由于社會政治環(huán)境和文化背景等不可逾越的因素,完全等值的風(fēng)格傳遞是不可能的。然而一個成功的翻譯并不意味著原文和譯文的完全等值,而是最大程度上的接近。
[Abstract]:Style translation is an important factor in reproducing the artistic charm of literary works. In this paper, a case study is carried out on the German translation of "brother >" to explore how to maximize the reproduction of literary style. The scholars at all times and in the world define and study the essence behind these definitions, and finally summarize the three main elements of style, namely, specific language means, context and effect. According to the theory of text typology and Cole Maier of Germany, the main goal of literary translation is to achieve the function of aesthetic effect. It is consistent with the "effect" of the third elements of the style. Levi believes that the rhythmic beauty and innovation caused by the unique language form are the important factors that embody the style of literary works, so the unique linguistic structure of the literary works should be paid special attention to in the translation of literary works; this corresponds to the first element of the style, "specific language means". At the same time, Marx tanning believes that the discourse in literary works always has a more rich meaning, so that the translator needs to analyze the specific context carefully in translation in order to accurately convey its associative meaning and implicit meaning. This is consistent with the second elements of the style "context". The three elements of the above theory and the "style" are in accordance with the above theory. Phonetics (special language means), semantic (context) and rhetorical (effect level) three angles are used to classify the means embodied in the brotherhood, and select some representative examples for detailed analysis. The phonetic level refers to the continuous use of the onomatopoeia, and the semantic level includes the two parts of the "Numeral" and "dirty words", and the rhetorical layer. There are four rhetorical methods which have the highest frequency of metaphor, metaphor, hyperbole and comparison. In the analysis of these examples, the author measured whether it really conveys the effect of the original humorous satire from the three angles of language means, context and effect. Based on the comparison between the two translations of brother and brother, the author finds that it is used by the author. The style of literal translation, substitution, interpretation, free translation, rewriting, compensation and so on can be transferred. To the analysis of the text examples, there are six conclusions: (1) when translating the onomatopoeia, it is best to find the corresponding analog sound in the target language; if not found, there are three solutions or the onomatopoeia simulated by the onomatopoeia. An object either interpret or rewrite the meaning of the article. (2) when the numerals play the role of the metronome, it must be translated correctly; when the numerals mainly reflect the function of the degree adverb, the translator can replace it with the appropriate adverb, or supplement the other words, as long as these words can highlight the degree of emphasis in the text. (3) "dirty words" can not be omitted. If there is a "dirty word" corresponding to the source language in the target language, it can be translated directly; if not, the translator can make free translation according to the meaning of the original, or then compensate for the vulgar effect in other places in the text. (4) if the translation reader can understand the original language according to his own cultural background and basic cognition On the contrary, the translator should do the corresponding interpretation or change. (5) in general, the exaggerated effect can be achieved through literal translation. (6) the most important thing in the translation is to reflect its repeatability structure. If the literal translation is difficult, the translator can create a new phase by himself. Like structure, as long as this structure can reflect the beauty of rhythm and the progressive effect of expression. Although the style can be transferred, it also has some limitations. Due to the insuperable factors such as the social and political environment and cultural background, it is impossible to deliver the full equivalent style. However, a successful translation does not mean the original. The full equivalence of text and translation is the maximum degree of approximation.
