17世紀末到18世紀初“大秦景教”碑情況介紹:卜彌格和劉應(yīng)發(fā)揮的作用

【摘要】：作者魏若望(John W.Witek,1933—2010),是美國著名已故漢學家,喬治城大學東亞系主任。研究和教學的主要領(lǐng)域為:漢學、日本學、藏學、印度學、早期亞歐交通史,以及來華耶穌會士研究。他關(guān)于利瑪竇(Matteo Ricci,1552—1610)、南懷仁(Ferdinand Verbiest,1623—1688)的研究在漢學界享有權(quán)威。魏若望的主要著作有《耶穌會士傅圣澤神甫傳索隱派思想在中國及歐洲》(Controversial Ideas in China and in Europe:A Biography of Jean-Fran?ois Foucquet S.J.(1665—1741),1982)、《傳教士、科學家、工程師、外交家南懷仁(1623—1688)》(Ferdinand Verbiest(1623—1688):Jesuit Missionary,Scientist,Engineer and Diplomat,1994)等,還曾主持了羅明軍、利瑪竇編纂的《葡漢字典》的整理影印工作(Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary,2001)。本文原題為"Presenting the‘Nestorian’Monument from the Late Seventeenth to the Early Eighteenth Century:The Role of Micha?Piotr Boym(1612—1659)and Claude Visdelou(1656—1737)",最初是魏若望神父在國際會議上宣讀的,后發(fā)表于《華裔學志》(Monumenta Sinica)2011年第59期第301—313頁。本文概述了17世紀末至18世紀初來華傳教士卜彌格(Michel Boym,1612—1659)和劉應(yīng)(Claude Visdelou,1656—1737)的生平、來華背景,研究了他們對大秦景教碑的翻譯和理解等方面的貢獻。
[Abstract]:The writer, John W. Witekn (1933-2010), is a famous American sinologist and head of the East Asia Department of Georgetown University. The main fields of research and teaching are Sinology, Japanese Studies, Tibetan Studies, Indian Studies, early Asian and European Transport History, and Jesuit Studies in China. His research on Matteo Riccio 1552-1610 and Ferdinand Verbiest (Ferdinand Verbiesta 1623-1688) enjoys authority in Sinology. Wei Ruo-wang 's main works are (Controversial Ideas in China and in Europe:A Biography of Jean-Fran?ois Foucquet S.J. (1665-1741), Ferdinand Verbiest (1623-1688) > (Ferdinand Verbiest (1623-1688), (Controversial Ideas in China and in Europe:A Biography of Jean-Fran?ois Foucquet S.J. (1665-1741), and so on. He also presided over the collation and photocopying of the Portuguese and Chinese Dictionary compiled by Luo Mingjun and Matteo Ricci (Portuguese-Chinese Dictionary / 2001). This paper was originally entitled "Presenting the'Nestorian'Monument from the Late Seventeenth to the Early Eighteenth Century:The Role of Micha?Piotr Boym (1612-1659) and Claude Visdelou (1656-1737)", which was first read at an international conference and published in (Monumenta Sinica) No. 59 (2011) 301-313. This paper summarizes the life and background of the missionaries Michel Boymn 1612-1659 and Claude Visdeloun 1656-1737 from the end of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century, and studies their contributions to the translation and understanding of the tablets of the Great Qin Dynasty.
