“一人傳虛,萬(wàn)人傳實(shí)”——公案、話(huà)頭的“虛言”屬性

【摘要】:所謂"分別",即執(zhí)著(僵化的意識(shí)等)與差別(二分對(duì)立的觀(guān)念),是遮蔽本來(lái)面目的障礙。言語(yǔ)的本質(zhì)屬性也是固著與分割,分別攀緣言語(yǔ)(概念)強(qiáng)化了執(zhí)著與差別。也就是說(shuō),言語(yǔ)強(qiáng)化了思考的執(zhí)著與差別,思考又加強(qiáng)了言語(yǔ)的固著與分割屬性。因此,只有障礙即言語(yǔ)概念與思考體系完全瓦解,本來(lái)面目、本地風(fēng)光才能顯現(xiàn)出來(lái)。一般來(lái)說(shuō),祖師提示學(xué)人的言句不是像哲學(xué)命題或宗教教義那樣含有什么意味或者規(guī)定、確定什么概念及結(jié)論的"實(shí)法",而是使學(xué)人消除思量分別的一種空蕩蕩、"沒(méi)滋味"的隨立隨掃的"虛言"。尤其在看話(huà)禪,這種虛言性的公案及話(huà)頭,是一邊攪亂動(dòng)搖衲僧的分別、一邊又要將衲僧的分別反轉(zhuǎn)為疑情的明眼宗師的手段。換言之,公案與話(huà)頭就是要把衲子引到"言語(yǔ)道斷,心行處滅"(言亡慮絕)的境界(疑情狀態(tài)或頓悟見(jiàn)性)。為此,在作家宗師句下,衲僧如果不能頓悟,那么應(yīng)當(dāng)就其言句起疑情,用其疑情的火焰徹底燒掉一切妄情妄識(shí)(思量分別),不應(yīng)把"虛言"誤認(rèn)作"實(shí)法"而進(jìn)行理性的理解或追求邏輯的解答。
[Abstract]:Separation, that is, persistence (rigid consciousness, etc.) and difference (dichotomy), is an obstacle to obscuring what one is. The essential attribute of speech is also fixed and segmented. That is to say, speech strengthens the persistence and difference of thinking, and thinking strengthens the fixation and segmentation of speech. Therefore, only if the barrier, namely speech concept and thinking system completely disintegrated, the local scenery can be revealed. In general, the Master reminds the Scholars that their words are not what philosophy or religious doctrine implies or prescribes. The "real method" for determining what concepts and conclusions is to eliminate the empty and unsavourless "empty words" of the scholars. Especially in talking Zen, this kind of fictitious lawsuit and speech is a means to stir up the difference between the monk and the monk, and to turn the division of the monk into a master of the bright eye. In other words, a case and a discourse are intended to lead the son of Anak to the realm of "words and deeds are destroyed" (the state of doubt or the nature of epiphany). For this reason, under the teacher's sentence of the writer, if the monk cannot realize immediately, then he should begin to doubt his words and sentences. Using the fire of doubt to burn all false knowledge (thinking about the difference), we should not mistake "empty words" as "practical methods" and make rational understanding or pursuit of logical answers.
