重審耶佛對話的兩種模式

【摘要】:宗教學(xué)家威爾弗瑞德·史密斯認(rèn)為,信仰乃是基本的宗教范疇,其實(shí)質(zhì)就是一種"參與"。從耶佛對話的角度看,基督教入華后分別采取了"辟佛—易佛""況佛—援佛"等文化參與模式。其中晚明天主教徒立足于實(shí)踐和禮儀層面來展開"辟佛"和"易佛",但卻錯(cuò)失了"性理之學(xué)"層面上與佛教思想熔鑄的歷史機(jī)遇。謝扶雅等現(xiàn)代基督徒學(xué)人提出的"基督學(xué)時(shí)代論"則是立足于佛學(xué)深度中國化的歷史經(jīng)驗(yàn)、從而具有史家視野的文化參與立場。時(shí)代論歷史視野透露出一種可能性,即基督教與佛教在性理之學(xué)層面上具有深度會通的思想基礎(chǔ)。得益于唐代開放的文化政策,景教采取了深度中國化的路線。以景凈為代表的唐代景士在性理之學(xué)的"援佛入景"方面做了很多嘗試,留下了寶貴的歷史經(jīng)驗(yàn)。過去學(xué)者常常批評景教過度迎合本土文化,而未能看到景教超越格義、實(shí)現(xiàn)思想的創(chuàng)造性熔鑄的積極意義。當(dāng)年王國維以史家的敏銳眼光,視景教敦煌文書為"世界寶籍",其著眼點(diǎn)恐怕就在于強(qiáng)調(diào)漢語景教文獻(xiàn)的文化策略意義,不能不引起重視。
[Abstract]:Religious scientist Wilfred Smith believes that faith is a basic religious category, and its essence is a kind of participation. From the point of view of the dialogue of Yephav, Christianity adopted the cultural participation mode of "Phiffer-Yi Buddha" and "condition Buddha-aid Buddha" after entering China. In the late Ming Dynasty, Catholics based themselves on practice and etiquette to open out "Buddhism" and "change Buddha", but missed the historical opportunity of "the study of sexual reason" and Buddhist thought. Xie Fuya and other modern Christian scholars put forward the theory of the time of Christ study, which is based on the historical experience of deep Chinese Buddhism, and thus has the standpoint of cultural participation from the perspective of historians. A possibility revealed from the historical perspective of epoch is that Christianity and Buddhism have a deep understanding of the ideological basis of understanding in the study of sexual reason. Thanks to the open culture policy of Tang Dynasty, Jingjing adopted the line of deep Chinese culture. Jing Jing as the representative of the Tang Dynasty Jingshi in the study of the "aid Buddha into the scene" made a lot of attempts, leaving valuable historical experience. In the past, scholars often criticized Jingjing for overcatering to local culture, but failed to see the positive significance of Jingjiao surpassing the meaning and realizing the creative melting casting of thought. At that time, Wang Guowei regarded the Dunhuang document as "World Treasure Book" with the keen vision of historians, whose focus was probably to emphasize the cultural strategic significance of the Chinese literature of Jingjiao, which could not be ignored.
