隋唐敦煌漢傳佛教的宗派問題

【摘要】:以“宗派”來解釋隋唐佛教的生態(tài),是否符合中國佛教的史實?“宗派”如何定義?隋唐佛教可分幾宗?這些問題雖經湯用彤、任繼愈、杜繼文及日本佛學界眾多學者研究,至今仍然莫衷一是。從敦煌文獻來看,眾多的中華撰著及漢譯典籍證明,隋唐時期敦煌存在“佛教十宗”:天臺宗、三論宗、華嚴宗、法相宗、律宗、禪宗、凈土宗、真言宗、三階教,以及尚待深入研究的藏傳漢文佛教。但是,敦煌地區(qū)的寺院和僧人究屬何宗,依據現有文獻,卻無從判定?紤]到“宗派”一詞在宋以前的文獻中最多出現過三次,宗派佛教在隋唐敦煌佛教中究竟處于什么地位、是否主流、與佛教信仰是什么關系,都成了敦煌遺書擺在我們面前的重大問題。
[Abstract]:Is it consistent with the historical facts of Chinese Buddhism to explain the ecology of Buddhism in Sui and Tang dynasties by "sects"? What is the definition of "sect"? How many Buddhism can be divided into Sui and Tang dynasties? These problems have been studied by Tang Yongtong, Ren Jiyu, du Jiwen and many Japanese Buddhist scholars. Judging from the Dunhuang literature, numerous Chinese writings and Chinese translations prove that there were "ten Buddhism" in Dunhuang in the Sui and Tang dynasties: Tiantai sect, Sanyan sect, Huayen sect, French Xiangzong, Law sect, Zen sect, Pure Land sect, True language Buddhism, three Class Religion. And Tibetan Buddhism, which remains to be further studied. However, according to the existing literature, it is impossible to determine what kind of monasteries and monks in Dunhuang area. Considering that the term "sect" had appeared at most three times in the literature prior to the Song Dynasty, and that sectarian Buddhism had a place in Dunhuang Buddhism in the Sui and Tang dynasties, whether it was the mainstream or not, and what was the relationship between sectarian Buddhism and Buddhist belief, It has become a major problem in front of us in Dunhuang testament.
