【摘要】: 本文主要討論了二十世紀(jì)初期基督教新教紀(jì)念來華百年的傳教士大會上關(guān)于建立基督教聯(lián)合大學(xué)的討論議案,并對議案形成的社會原因、國際背景和議案實踐的失敗原因進行了分析。本文主要運用了馬克思主義歷史唯物發(fā)展觀的方法,結(jié)合學(xué)術(shù)界目前相對認(rèn)同的中西文化交流的宏觀考察方法,對二十世紀(jì)初期基督教在華教育發(fā)展情況及聯(lián)合大學(xué)的討論進行考察研究,分析了二十世紀(jì)初期中國教會大學(xué)發(fā)展的客觀情況、時代背景以及發(fā)展趨勢。本文內(nèi)容主要包括二十世紀(jì)初期基督教高等教育在華發(fā)展概況、基督教聯(lián)合大學(xué)的討論議案、聯(lián)合大學(xué)在中國的實踐活動、聯(lián)合大學(xué)的時代背景及失敗原因等五方面內(nèi)容。 二十世紀(jì)初期基督教在華教育是以基督教在世界范圍的宗教擴張與文化傳播為背景的,基督教教育事業(yè)在華發(fā)展固然要受到外界客觀環(huán)境的影響,但從精神和本質(zhì)上說,二十世紀(jì)初期的在華基督教教育具有獨立于政治和差會的特點。這些特點使得教會大學(xué)能夠成為一個獨立而完備的教育實體接納基督教徒和非基督教徒的學(xué)生,并在一定教派達成的共識的情況下,進行合作與聯(lián)合,發(fā)展在華的教育事業(yè),為中國在自然科學(xué)和人文社會科學(xué)知識的普及與傳播做出了貢獻。 與官方學(xué)堂及中國學(xué)制的對比,基督教聯(lián)合大學(xué)的討論不僅是基督教傳教士為了發(fā)展在華傳教事業(yè)而進行的單方面的選擇與改革,同時也為中國教育的發(fā)展與改革做出了回應(yīng)與借鑒,從客觀上說,是中西文化交流雙向選擇的結(jié)果。
[Abstract]:This paper mainly discusses the beginning of the twentieth Century Protestant memorial to hundred years of Missionary Conference on the establishment of a United Christian University bill, social causes and reasons for the failure of the formation of the motion, the motion of international background and practice are analyzed. This paper mainly includes the general situation of the development of higher education at the beginning of the twentieth Century Chinese Christian, Christian the University bill, the practice activities of the Joint University in China, combined with the era of the University Five aspects of the background and the cause of failure.
Twentieth Century at the beginning of Christianity in China is based on Christian religious education expansion and culture spread in the world as the background, Christian Education Development in China is affected by the external environment, but the spirit and essence, the early twentieth Century in China Christian education has the independent characteristics of political and difference. These the characteristics that the church university can become an independent and complete educational entities to accept Christian and non Christian students in certain sects and reach consensus, cooperation and joint development, in China's education, as Chinese made contribution in natural science and social science knowledge popularization and dissemination.
Compared with the official school and Chinese system, discuss the Christian Union University is not only the choice and reform of unilateral Christian missionaries in order to develop the mission in China.
