The religious economics theory of Adam Smith includes the religion rational choice theory, religion laissez-faire theory, and the international religion regulation theory. The religion rational choice theory departs from the hominine reality, the existence of cult indicates that the religion has no morality education function, the self-discipline function of the religion market is limited, the abuses existed in product market are also existed in religion market, so the religion regulation has the deep economy base, the religion economics theory of Adam Smith provides the stabile theory base for religious regulation.

From the point of view of functions, the memorial temples in the Han Dynasty were the places of offering sacrifices to gods, to ancestors, to heroes and good officials or to gods of rain. This article analyses the establishment of memorial temples from the view of pursuing celestial beings. Stories about celestial beings were very popular. People established memorial temples to offer sacrifices to celestial beings so that these celestial beings could protect them or help them become celestial beings as well.

It is important that the illustration of BaoJia in Tianjin and other books in the research of the spatial distribution of the temple around opium war in Tianjin. The number and category of temples in the different azimuth is related closely to the family numbers, especially the family of religious figures. The distribution of all kind of temples in city, town and rural were influenced by the bureaucratic system of traditional society and the type of religion. Such temples in geographical distribution followed the principle of important traffic, convenient-segmentation and unbalanced distribution. The research of temples in traditional Tianjin, can help the research of temples other places, contributing to deepening the research of history of religions in China.
