【摘要】：與當(dāng)代許多自由主義者仍堅持一種普遍主義路線為自由主義提供正當(dāng)性論證不同,羅蒂試圖用重新描述的方法來為自由主義提供一種非普遍主義的辯護。在這種非普遍主義轉(zhuǎn)向中,他首先對西方近代以來逐漸出現(xiàn)和發(fā)展起來的自由民主社會進行了一種歷史主義的重新描述,以消解以往自由主義理論強加給它的普遍主義根基,然后又倡導(dǎo)了一種反諷主義文化,以讓他的非普遍主義的自由主義立場成為可能。羅蒂的立場雖然也遭到了不少質(zhì)疑和批評,但他的努力讓我們對當(dāng)代自由主義理論的困境和局限有了更加清楚的認識,也提醒著我們應(yīng)該從更寬的視野來反思政治哲學(xué)的作用及方式問題。
[Abstract]:Unlike many contemporary liberals who still insist on a cosmopolitan line to provide justification for liberalism, Rorty tries to redescribe liberalism to provide a non-universal defense of liberalism. In this kind of non-universal turn, he first redescribed the liberal democratic society, which gradually appeared and developed since modern times in the West, in order to dispel the universality foundation imposed on it by the previous liberalism theory, and then advocated a kind of ironic culture, so as to make his non-universal liberal position possible. Although Rorty's position has also been questioned and criticized, his efforts have made us have a clearer understanding of the predicament and limitations of contemporary liberalism theory, and reminded us that we should reflect on the role and mode of political philosophy from a broader perspective.
