【摘要】：民主在西方其實(shí)并非毫無爭議的"正統(tǒng)"。無論是直接民主還是代議制民主都曾受到廣泛批評,既有來自哲人的內(nèi)在批評,比如民主帶來人類鄙俗化,也有來自社會(huì)科學(xué)家的外部批評,如民主必然缺乏效率。許多人認(rèn)為現(xiàn)代政治的成功靠的其實(shí)不是民主,而是法治或共和乃至市場經(jīng)濟(jì)。不過,試圖為民主特別是古代民主辯護(hù)的學(xué)者依然不時(shí)出現(xiàn),他們努力另辟蹊徑,尋找令人信服的論證,回答這些批評,從內(nèi)在和外在的各種角度發(fā)掘古代民主實(shí)踐和理念資源的現(xiàn)代意義,提出了諸如民主的"表演-施為"模型、"知識(shí)經(jīng)濟(jì)"效率模式、"觀看型民主"模型、"哲人公民"模型等。這些嘗試相當(dāng)有新意,有助于對民主理論及歷史乃至一般政治思想史和價(jià)值論的深入思考。
[Abstract]:Democracy is not, in fact, an undisputed "orthodoxy" in the West. Both direct democracy and representative democracy have been widely criticized, such as internal criticism from philosophers, such as democracy bringing about human stigmatization, and external criticism from social scientists, such as the inefficiency of democracy. Many people believe that the success of modern politics depends not on democracy, but on the rule of law or republic and even market economy. However, scholars who tried to defend democracy, especially in ancient times, still appeared from time to time, and they tried to find other ways to find convincing arguments to answer these criticisms. This paper explores the modern significance of ancient democratic practice and concept resources from both internal and external perspectives, and puts forward such models as "acting-giving" model of democracy, "knowledge-based economy" efficiency model, "viewing-type democracy" model. The model of "philosopher citizen" and so on. These attempts are quite innovative and contribute to the in-depth consideration of democratic theory, history and even the history of general political thought and theory of value.
