【摘要】： 自從以賽亞·伯林明確提出價(jià)值多元論這一概念之后,圍繞這一主題的討論紛至沓來,其中一個(gè)核心爭論就是價(jià)值多元論與自由主義之間的關(guān)系,這一爭論契合了西方學(xué)界關(guān)于自由主義普遍性與特殊性、中立性與至善性的討論,引起了廣泛的關(guān)注。價(jià)值多元論被認(rèn)為是對自由主義的巨大挑戰(zhàn)而引起很多西方學(xué)者的討論,然而本文并不意欲對這一問題做全面的梳理,而是從伯林的思想出發(fā),認(rèn)識到其思想中存在的一種張力,這種張力來自于伯林思想中看似矛盾的兩個(gè)部分,一部分是借助于反啟蒙思想家對啟蒙傳統(tǒng)的批判而對自由主義發(fā)展過程中對積極自由的過分強(qiáng)調(diào)提出質(zhì)問,另一部分是通過對自由概念的確證和對積極自由的批判、對消極自由的倡導(dǎo)而扭轉(zhuǎn)自由的失落的趨勢。這兩部分看似矛盾,然而實(shí)則為一種辯證的關(guān)系,即通過對自由主義觀念的反思促進(jìn)自由主義的發(fā)展。由伯林思想中的張力所引發(fā)的討論集中體現(xiàn)在喬治·克勞德和約翰·格雷對價(jià)值多元論與自由主義之關(guān)系的爭論中,因此本文試圖從這二者之間的爭論來一步一步分析伯林思想的真正訴求所在,并從中得出一個(gè)較為中庸的結(jié)論,即價(jià)值多元論的實(shí)質(zhì)是伯林論證自由主義的一條途徑,并不是對自由主義的顛覆。這對重新認(rèn)識伯林的價(jià)值多元論與自由主義的關(guān)系,對進(jìn)一步研究自由主義有重大意義。
[Abstract]:Since Isaiah Berlin put forward the concept of value pluralism, there has been a great deal of discussion on this subject. One of the central arguments is the relationship between value pluralism and liberalism. This argument coincides with the discussion on the universality and particularity of liberalism, neutrality and goodness in western academic circles. Value pluralism is regarded as a great challenge to liberalism, which has aroused the discussion of many western scholars. However, this paper does not intend to make a comprehensive combing of this problem, but from the perspective of Berlin's thought. Aware of the tension that exists in his thoughts, which comes from two seemingly contradictory parts of Berlin's thought, Some of them question the positive freedom in the development of liberalism by criticizing the Enlightenment tradition by anti-enlightenment thinkers. The other part is through the confirmation of the concept of freedom and the criticism of the positive freedom. The advocacy of negative freedom reverses the lost trend of freedom. These two parts may seem contradictory, but in fact they are dialectical, that is, to promote the development of liberalism through the reflection of liberalism. The discussion caused by the tension in Berlin's thought is embodied in the argument between George Crowder and John Gray on the relationship between value pluralism and liberalism. Therefore, this paper tries to analyze the real demand of Berlin's thought step by step from the argument between them, and draw a relatively moderate conclusion that the essence of value pluralism is a way for Bolin to demonstrate liberalism. It is not a subversion of liberalism. It is of great significance to reunderstand the relationship between Berlin's value pluralism and liberalism and to further study liberalism.
