胡適思想與中國現(xiàn)代性問題

【摘要】:胡適在20世紀(jì)30年代關(guān)于"傳統(tǒng)與西化"的論爭中提出的"一心一意的現(xiàn)代化""全盤吸收西洋現(xiàn)代文明"的主張,使他一直被認為是"全盤西化派"的代表人物。但他畢生所堅持的"中國的文藝復(fù)興"思想,揭示的卻是一個"古今之變"的規(guī)律,這個規(guī)律就是,只有人文情感和理性精神的全面再生,取代古代那種禁錮情感與理性的宗教信仰,我們才能從古代社會過渡到現(xiàn)代社會。然而,近十年來有關(guān)"反思現(xiàn)代性"的討論中,卻出現(xiàn)了各種否定理性、主張重建中國社會的宗教信仰,以及把"古今之變"轉(zhuǎn)換成中西方文化對立、批判西方文化霸權(quán)的觀點。該文試圖從胡適思想的角度,來對這些問題做初步探討。
[Abstract]:In the debate on tradition and Westernization put forward by Hu Shi in the 1930s, he was always regarded as the representative of "total westernization" because of his idea of "single-minded modernization" and "absorption of modern Western civilization". However, the "Renaissance of China" thought he insisted on all his life revealed a law of "change from ancient to modern times". This law is that only the humanistic emotion and rational spirit can be regenerated in an all-round way. We can transition from ancient society to modern society by replacing the religious belief which impairs emotion and reason in ancient times. However, in the discussion of "introspection of modernity" in the past ten years, there have been various negative reasons, advocating the reconstruction of religious beliefs in Chinese society, and transforming "ancient and modern changes" into cultural opposites between China and the West. Criticism of Western cultural hegemony. This article attempts to make a preliminary discussion on these problems from the angle of Hu Shi's thought.
