【摘要】：正公元前221年秦始皇統(tǒng)一中國,建立秦朝,推行郡縣制,改荊邑為陽羨縣,至今已2200多年。隨著歷史的變遷,縣城地址也多有變化。根據(jù)查閱有關(guān)史料,主要的有八次,現(xiàn)分述如下:一、秦初設(shè)陽羨縣,縣城在今宜城街道土城社區(qū)一帶,稱土城,又稱蝦虎城。據(jù)《重刊宜興縣舊志》卷首,《宜荊新志》卷首、卷一記載,陽羨古城在后來縣城的南門外,兩l?狹中處,小l?(團(tuán)l?)、蝦涇濱(蝦涇以四足龍魚得名,又稱蝦龍涇,后誤寫為蝦籠涇)。故稱城為蝦
