【摘要】：威爾遜(Robert O.Wilson,中文名韋如柏)是金陵大學(xué)附屬醫(yī)院(即南京鼓樓醫(yī)院)美籍外科醫(yī)生。南京大屠殺期間,他留在醫(yī)院,救治了許多遭受日軍暴行的難民。在此期間,他以日記的形式致信家人,記述了日軍在南京的暴行及金陵大學(xué)附屬醫(yī)院對(duì)難民的救治情形。威爾遜1938年3月6日的日記(節(jié)錄)曾發(fā)表于美國(guó)《讀者文摘》1938年10月號(hào)上,《南京大屠殺史料集》收錄了該日記的部分內(nèi)容,而未全文收錄。海倫·丹尼爾斯(Helen·Daniels)是金陵大學(xué)附屬醫(yī)院美籍院長(zhǎng)霍頓·丹尼爾斯(J·Horton·Daniels,中文名談和敦)的夫人。她于1938年11月回到南京后,經(jīng)常以日記的形式致信家人,其中1938年11月4日、11月9日和11月15日三天的日記,記述了她在南京的所見(jiàn)所聞及親身感受。信中還揭露了南京大屠殺后日軍仍對(duì)平民施暴,以及南京城內(nèi)鴉片毒品泛濫、市民生活困苦等社會(huì)現(xiàn)狀,同時(shí)對(duì)金陵女子文理學(xué)院美籍教師魏特琳在南京開(kāi)辦實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校救助難民表示高度贊賞。上述信件收藏于美國(guó)哥倫比亞大學(xué)伯克(Burke)圖書(shū)館特藏室霍頓·丹尼爾斯與海倫·丹尼爾斯的私人檔案中。
[Abstract]:Robert O. Wilson is an American surgeon at Jinling University affiliated Hospital (Nanjing Gulou Hospital). During the Nanjing Massacre, he stayed in hospital and rescued many refugees who had been brutalized by the Japanese army. During this time, he wrote to his family in the form of a diary, describing the Japanese atrocities in Nanjing and the treatment of refugees in the affiliated Hospital of Jinling University. Wilson's diary of March 6, 1938 (excerpt) was published in the October 1938 issue of Reader's Digest of the United States. Part of the diary was included in the Historical Collection of the Nanjing Massacre, but not in full. Helen Daniels (Helen Daniels) is the wife of Holden Daniels (J Horton Daniels, American dean of Jinling University Hospital. After she returned to Nanjing in November 1938, she often wrote to her family in the form of a diary. Among them, three days' diaries of November 4, November 9 and November 15, 1938, described what she had seen and heard and how she felt in Nanjing. The letter also exposed the fact that after the Nanjing Massacre, the Japanese troops still committed violence against civilians, as well as the current social situation in Nanjing, such as the spread of opium and drugs and the plight of citizens. Meanwhile, Vautrin, an American teacher at Jinling Women's College of Arts and Sciences, was highly praised for helping refugees at the experimental school in Nanjing. The letters are kept in the private archives of Holden Daniels and Helen Daniels at Columbia University's Burke (Burke) Library.
