【摘要】：正新四軍第三師,是1941年1月15日新四軍在鹽城重建軍部后,由原八路軍第五縱隊改編而成,黃克誠任師長兼政委,彭雄任參謀長。下轄3個旅,第七旅由原第一支隊改編,彭明治任旅長,朱滌新任政委;第八旅由原第二支隊編成,田守堯任旅長,吳信泉任政委;第九旅由原第三支隊編成,張愛萍任旅長,韋國清任政委。這支部隊自1940年秋開辟江蘇北部淮海、鹽阜根據(jù)地以來,在華中局和新四軍軍部的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下,在反"掃蕩"、反偽化、反蠶食的斗爭中,在粉碎頑固派進犯、剿匪叛亂的斗爭中,得到人民群眾的支持,取得不斷的勝利。
