【摘要】：吉林邊疆危機時刻,希元臨危受命,自光緒九年至十四年擔(dān)任五年吉林將軍。任職期間不僅深入推進前任吉林將軍銘安等人的整肅吏治、放墾恤民、剿除"盜匪"、料理朝民等治邊方案,而且施行幣制改革、架設(shè)電線、設(shè)電報局、通商固邊等新舉措,體現(xiàn)了洋務(wù)派求富求強的治邊方略。雖然不能根本解決嚴重邊患問題,但維護了轄區(qū)內(nèi)的社會安定,一定程度上遏制了沙俄侵略步伐、與朝鮮邊境關(guān)系保持在協(xié)商范圍內(nèi)。
[Abstract]:At the time of the crisis in Jilin's frontier, the Greek Yuan was ordered to face danger, and Guang Xu served as General Jilin for five years from 9 to 14 years. During his tenure, he not only deeply promoted the purge of officials of his predecessor, General Jilin, Ming'an, and others, but also cultivated and compassionate the people. The suppression of "bandits", the administration of the border by the people, and the implementation of the currency system reform, the erection of power lines, the establishment of telegraphic offices, and the establishment of trade and border consolidation measures, etc., reflect the strategy of Westernization in seeking wealth and seeking strength. Although it cannot fundamentally solve the serious border problem, However, it maintained social stability in the area, restrained the pace of Russian aggression to some extent, and kept the border relations with North Korea within the scope of negotiation.
