[Abstract]:The rise of "Japanese style" was directly related to the reform strategy adopted by the Qing government after the Sino-Japanese War. The imperial examination and abolition accelerated the popularity of this style. Because of the new nouns and foreign grammars contained in "Dongying style", There is a fundamental conflict with the elegance and cleanliness of the ancient prose, which causes the scholars and officials to worry deeply about the fate of the ancient prose. The resulting trend of resistance to the "Dongying style" not only makes the reform of ancient prose in the late Qing Dynasty present the characteristics of the reciprocation and diversification. As a result, the general trend of ancient prose also tended to turn, and the rise of the style of retro led to the prosperity of the creation of ancient prose in the late Qing Dynasty. Combing the phenomenon of returning to the tide of ancient prose in the late Qing Dynasty can not only reveal the internal logic of the development of literature in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. At the same time, it has important reference value for understanding the essence and difference of literature reform in late Qing Dynasty and May fourth Movement.
