【摘要】： 英國在尼日利亞進(jìn)行殖民統(tǒng)治的時(shí)期是尼日利亞一段重要的歷史時(shí)期,它的后果深刻地影響著尼日利亞發(fā)展的進(jìn)程,而且以往的研究主要側(cè)重英國殖民統(tǒng)治對尼日利亞的影響而很少涉及英國對尼日利亞進(jìn)行殖民統(tǒng)治的特點(diǎn),因此本文主要介紹了英國在尼日利亞殖民統(tǒng)治的特點(diǎn)。研究此問題,不僅有助于我們認(rèn)識(shí)英國殖民統(tǒng)治,而且對于認(rèn)識(shí)當(dāng)今尼日利亞發(fā)展過程中遇到的種種挫折與阻礙,也是大有裨益的。全文共分六大部分,其中,第一部分主要介紹了目前國內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)界對英國在尼日利亞殖民統(tǒng)治的相關(guān)研究;第二部分介紹了英國對南、北尼日利亞的征服,及其將二者合并,建立尼日利亞殖民地和保護(hù)地的過程;第三部分論述了英國在尼日利亞政治統(tǒng)治的特點(diǎn):在直接統(tǒng)治與間接統(tǒng)治之間尋求最大利益,如果認(rèn)為間接統(tǒng)治不能保證其殖民地位,他們就會(huì)毫不遲疑地動(dòng)用直接統(tǒng)治的手段,并在統(tǒng)治過程中,自始至終地貫穿著“分而治之”;第四部分主要從廢除奴隸制、推廣單一種植制、實(shí)行稅收制度、加強(qiáng)交通運(yùn)輸建設(shè)等方面介紹了英國對尼日利亞進(jìn)行經(jīng)濟(jì)掠奪和控制的特點(diǎn);第五部分介紹了通過培養(yǎng)一批在尼日利亞傳播基督教的當(dāng)?shù)厝?開辦教會(huì)學(xué)校等方式,完成了對尼日利亞宗教文化方面的控制;第六部分主要從政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化教育三個(gè)方面簡要概括了英國對尼日利亞進(jìn)行殖民統(tǒng)治的影響。
[Abstract]:The period of British colonial rule in Nigeria was an important period in the history of Nigeria, and its consequences had a profound impact on the development of Nigeria. Moreover, previous studies mainly focus on the influence of British colonial rule on Nigeria, but rarely on the characteristics of British colonial rule over Nigeria, so this paper mainly introduces the characteristics of British colonial rule in Nigeria. The study of this problem will not only help us understand the British colonial rule, but also help us understand the setbacks and obstacles encountered in the development of Nigeria today. The thesis is divided into six parts. The first part mainly introduces the research on British colonial rule in Nigeria at home and abroad. The second part introduces the British conquest of North and South Nigeria and the process of merging the two to establish the Nigerian colony and protectorate. The third part discusses the characteristics of British political rule in Nigeria: seeking the best interests between direct and indirect rule, if indirect rule does not guarantee its colonial status. They will not hesitate to use the means of direct rule, and in the process of governance, throughout the "divide and rule;" The fourth part mainly introduces the characteristics of British economic plunder and control to Nigeria from the aspects of abolishing slavery, popularizing single planting system, implementing tax system, strengthening transportation construction and so on. The fifth part introduces how to control the religion and culture of Nigeria by cultivating a group of local people who spread Christianity in Nigeria and opening church schools. The sixth part briefly summarizes the influence of British colonial rule over Nigeria from three aspects: politics, economy, culture and education.
