狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜研究

【摘要】:本文是以古典文獻(xiàn)和考古發(fā)掘資料為基礎(chǔ)、對(duì)古希臘狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜這一宗 教現(xiàn)象所作的一項(xiàng)專(zhuān)題研究。 狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜受到人們的關(guān)注是在尼采的《悲劇的誕生》發(fā)表之后。在這 本書(shū)里,尼采提出狄?jiàn)W尼索斯精神和阿波羅精神這一對(duì)立統(tǒng)一的藝術(shù)原則,認(rèn)為 悲劇的誕生就是這兩種因素的結(jié)合,而且狄?jiàn)W尼索斯精神要遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)重要于阿波羅精 神。顯然,尼采是從哲學(xué)和美學(xué)的視角來(lái)看待狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜的,那么,在古希 臘社會(huì)中存在的狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜是一種什么樣的宗教文化現(xiàn)象呢?這就是本項(xiàng) 研究的目的所在。 狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜是一種特殊的文化現(xiàn)象,又是一種較為普遍的文化現(xiàn)象。類(lèi) 似的宗教存在于世界各地,比如對(duì)葡萄樹(shù)或酒的崇拜,比如以神附體的形式達(dá)到 與神的溝通,比如以狂歡的形式發(fā)泄內(nèi)心的緊張感等等;但是,值得我們注意的 是,只有狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜在古希臘城邦民主制條件下得到了較充分的發(fā)展,也就 是說(shuō),希臘多神教的宗教體系和民主制的發(fā)展是促進(jìn)狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜發(fā)展的兩個(gè) 因素。所以,這篇論文在研究方法上,非常注意把狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜納入到希臘整 個(gè)歷史和文化背景之下,通過(guò)對(duì)它各方面的考察和分析,揭示蘊(yùn)含在這一現(xiàn)象之 后的希臘精神,以及探索希臘社會(huì)文化的演進(jìn)過(guò)程。 這篇論文通過(guò)兩種視角考察狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜,一是從歷時(shí)性的角度考察狄?jiàn)W 尼索斯崇拜歷史性的發(fā)展,探討狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜的起源和發(fā)展。論文認(rèn)為,狄?jiàn)W 尼索斯崇拜的起源地在希臘本土,流行于底層民眾中間,只是在后來(lái)的發(fā)展中受 到了東方文明尤其是古埃及文明的影響,增加了某些神秘主義的因素。公元前7 -6世紀(jì),在希臘民主政治的進(jìn)程中,狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜因?yàn)檫h(yuǎn)離貴族控制,成為 平民與貴族政治斗爭(zhēng)中的一種有力的思想武器,漸漸進(jìn)入城邦政治的“中心”, 城市酒神節(jié)的舉辦、大規(guī)模的游行和戲劇演出等等都成為城邦政治生活的一部 分。 二是以“宗教四要素”為理論框架分析狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜作為一種宗教現(xiàn)象的 基本特點(diǎn)。狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜通過(guò)神話(huà)傳說(shuō)表達(dá)自己獨(dú)特的宗教觀(guān)念,以宗教節(jié)日 和神秘儀式兩種方式開(kāi)展自己的宗教實(shí)踐活動(dòng),,體現(xiàn)了不同于其他宗教的鮮明特 點(diǎn)。在狄?jiàn)W尼索斯的宗教節(jié)日上,有神圣的殺牲祭祀和集體大餐,這與希臘人對(duì) 其他神如宙斯和阿波羅的祭祀是一樣的:但同時(shí),它還有不同于公民宗教的 另一面,即神秘的一面,花月節(jié)上秘密的婚禮、酒神的女祭司每?jī)赡暌淮蔚牡聽(tīng)?斐朝拜活動(dòng)、巴庫(kù)斯秘儀等等又都體現(xiàn)了狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜脫離城邦政治生活、但 又得到城邦默許的一面。所以,論文同時(shí)闡述了狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜的節(jié)日和它的神 秘儀式。其中,狄?jiàn)W尼索斯的節(jié)日是同城邦的政治生活緊緊聯(lián)系在一起的,而狄 奧尼索斯的神秘儀式讓我們看到了希臘宗教向高級(jí)宗教發(fā)展的過(guò)渡階段。 古希臘戲劇是希臘人留給人類(lèi)的最輝煌的精神遺產(chǎn),其源頭卻是狄?jiàn)W尼索斯 崇拜。在古希臘戲劇產(chǎn)生和發(fā)展的過(guò)程中,狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜一直發(fā)生著影響和作 用,戲劇成功地表達(dá)了城邦尤其是雅典城邦的政治思想和城邦理念,其本身也在 雅典的民主政治體制下進(jìn)行運(yùn)作,但是戲劇的演出始終都是狄?jiàn)W尼索斯祭祀儀式 的一部分,始終沒(méi)有脫離古希臘社會(huì)濃厚的宗教氛圍。 論文以狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜在古希臘城邦中的作用為結(jié)語(yǔ)部分,分析了狄?jiàn)W尼索 斯崇拜在古希臘社會(huì)存在的原因以及它給人們帶來(lái)的精神上的滿(mǎn)足。作為一種心 理療法,它緩解了人們的社會(huì)壓力,為婦女們暫時(shí)遠(yuǎn)離繁重瑣碎的家庭勞作提供 了神圣的借口,調(diào)節(jié)了男性和女性之間的關(guān)系,同時(shí)也為不甚關(guān)注“死者亡國(guó)” 和死后生活的奧林匹斯宗教提供了一種合理的補(bǔ)充,這種補(bǔ)充,不僅是對(duì)希臘宗 教是有益的,對(duì)希臘人的精神生活也是必需的。 作為一種特定的宗教文化現(xiàn)象,狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜顯示了它與古希臘城邦政 治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化等方方面面千絲萬(wàn)縷的聯(lián)系,表達(dá)了人們思想意識(shí)、情感觀(guān)念所 發(fā)生的變化。對(duì)狄?jiàn)W尼索斯崇拜的研究,也可以為我們考察整個(gè)希臘古典文明提 供一個(gè)有效的視窗。
