【摘要】：自1751年第一批中國人到達(dá)美國算起，中國人在美國的歷史已有兩百余年。由此開始，，無論是早期的苦力，還是后來的知識(shí)分子，世代相傳的中國移民為自己和美國都譜寫了絢麗的歷史篇章。作為中國人在美國的主要居住地，唐人街無論在美國歷史的長河中，還是在美國社會(huì)的發(fā)展中都起著重要的作用。今天，唐人街雖成為老一代美籍華人，和受教育程度較低的新移民的聚集地，但是仍保持著非常重要的地位。一方面，唐人街依舊是美國華人歷史的見證，另一方面，也是美籍華人傳承中國傳統(tǒng)文化的一個(gè)地方。而目前，唐人街的發(fā)展卻受著種種問題的困擾。例如，人口過多，經(jīng)濟(jì)結(jié)構(gòu)過于單一等。其中，非法移民問題是最為嚴(yán)重的一個(gè)問題。雖然，非法移民問題已經(jīng)引起了包括中美兩國的一些重視，但是關(guān)注度還遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠。如果這個(gè)問題不能很好地解決，這將阻礙到唐人街的發(fā)展，同時(shí)也會(huì)對(duì)兩國造成不良的影響。 此篇論文在基于偷渡到美國的福建非法移民的研究上，對(duì)非法移民問題進(jìn)行詳細(xì)的分析。 引言談到華人在美國的歷史，包括在美華人在早期，排華期間的生存狀態(tài)，同時(shí)簡述了華人移民的主要來源地。這對(duì)于研究后來的華人移民(包括合法和非法)都非常重要的意義。 第一章集中討論唐人街的發(fā)展歷程及阻礙唐人街發(fā)展的一系列問題。此章同時(shí)涉及到非法移民問題。從唐人街在不同歷史階段的發(fā)展可以理解為何唐人街成為非法移民到達(dá)美國后的首選之地。 第二章討論唐人街的人口結(jié)構(gòu)變化。本章中的統(tǒng)計(jì)和數(shù)據(jù)展示了隨著非法移民的到來，唐人街人口，經(jīng)濟(jì)結(jié)構(gòu)等方面的變化。雖然非法移民問題，像一
[Abstract]:The Chinese have been in the United States for more than 200 years since the first Chinese arrived in 1751. As a result, Chinese immigrants, both early coolies and later intellectuals, wrote brilliant chapters of history for themselves and the United States. As the main residence of Chinese in the United States, Chinatown plays an important role both in the history of the United States and in the development of American society. Today, Chinatown remains an important location for the older generation of Chinese Americans and less educated newcomers. On the one hand, Chinatown is still a witness of American Chinese history, on the other hand, it is also a place where Chinese Americans inherit Chinese traditional culture. At present, the development of Chinatown is beset by various problems. For example, overpopulation, economic structure is too unitary and so on. Among them, illegal immigration is the most serious problem. Illegal immigration has attracted some attention, including from China and the United States, but not enough. If the problem is not well addressed, it will hinder the development of Chinatown and have a negative impact on both countries. Based on the study of illegal immigrants from Fujian Province to the United States, this paper makes a detailed analysis of the problem of illegal immigrants. The introduction talks about the history of Chinese in the United States, including the living conditions of Chinese in the early days of Chinese exclusion from China, and briefly describes the main sources of Chinese immigrants. This is of great significance to the study of later Chinese immigrants, both legal and illegal. The first chapter focuses on the development of Chinatown and a series of problems hindering the development of Chinatown. This chapter also deals with illegal immigration. From the development of Chinatown at different stages of history, we can understand why Chinatown has become the preferred place for illegal immigrants to arrive in the United States. The second chapter discusses the demographic changes of Chinatown. The statistics and data in this chapter show the changes in the population and economic structure of Chinatown with the arrival of illegal immigrants.
