【摘要】： 利比里亞是非洲歷史上最為古老的一個黑人共和國,是由美國通過遣返自由黑人在19世紀(jì)初逐步建立的。本文對1817-1847年美國殖民協(xié)會遣返自由黑人到西非進行了研究。筆者認(rèn)為,遣返是美國奴隸制危機、白人種族主義、天定命運以及國際局勢變化的結(jié)果,其目的是為了維護白人利益及奴隸制的存在,是為了拓展美國的國家利益。此外,遣返還蘊含著輸出美國宗教和文化的考慮,具有民主輸出的性質(zhì)。然而,利比里亞共和國雖然模仿美國制度,但并未贏得一個繁榮的未來,相反照搬照抄使得利比里亞的發(fā)展最終陷于困境。
[Abstract]:Liberia, the oldest black republic in African history, was established by the United States in the early 19th century through the repatriation of free blacks. This paper studies the repatriation of free blacks to West Africa from 1817-1847 by the American Colonial Society. The author believes that repatriation is the result of the crisis of slavery in the United States, white racism, destiny and the change of international situation. The purpose of repatriation is to safeguard the white interests and the existence of slavery, and to expand the national interests of the United States. In addition, repatriation also contains the consideration of exporting American religion and culture, and has the nature of democratic export. However, the Republic of Liberia did not win a prosperous future, although it imitated the American system. Instead, copying made the development of Liberia difficult.
