【摘要】： 殖民地時期切薩皮克地區(qū)的商品生產(chǎn)主要依托種植園,其主要產(chǎn)品就是煙草。切薩皮克經(jīng)濟(jì)由于嚴(yán)重依賴煙草這一單一商品,付出了巨大的代價。煙草價格的波動起伏和煙草產(chǎn)業(yè)的階段性蕭條使煙草種植者苦不堪言,為了對抗這樣的不利局面,他們將商品生產(chǎn)擴(kuò)大到其他領(lǐng)域,種植者開始嘗試大量生產(chǎn)糧食,制造生鐵并蓄養(yǎng)牲畜。在商品種類多樣化發(fā)展的同時,從事商品生產(chǎn)的種植園也發(fā)生了變化。煙草種植的主力由小種植園主轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)榇蠓N植園主和佃農(nóng)。從事商品經(jīng)濟(jì)生產(chǎn)的勞動力也在17世紀(jì)末18世紀(jì)初的時候發(fā)生了重大轉(zhuǎn)變,由白人契約仆轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)楹谌伺`。本文對殖民地時期切薩皮克地區(qū)商品經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的軌跡做了一下梳理,并對從事商品經(jīng)濟(jì)生產(chǎn)的種植園的經(jīng)營進(jìn)行了探究,同時本文還對殖民地和英國對煙草產(chǎn)業(yè)的管理進(jìn)行了研究。 本文除引言和結(jié)語以外共分三部分: 第一部分:切薩皮克商品經(jīng)濟(jì)的成長。這部分主要介紹殖民地時期世紀(jì)切薩皮克地區(qū)經(jīng)商品經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展過程。主要內(nèi)容涉及煙草產(chǎn)業(yè)的發(fā)展和其他商品經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展。 第二部分:切薩皮克商品經(jīng)濟(jì)的主體。這部分主要商品生產(chǎn)主體的基本狀況,包括種植園的生產(chǎn)組織形式和收益狀況,商品經(jīng)濟(jì)的勞動者的變革狀況。 第三部分:切薩皮克商品經(jīng)濟(jì)管理。這部分主要介紹了切薩皮克地區(qū)商品經(jīng)濟(jì)管理,內(nèi)容包括煙草監(jiān)察體系的建立,煙草在海外市場的銷售模式和英國對殖民地政策對切薩皮克地區(qū)的影響。
[Abstract]:The commodity production of the Chesapeake region in the colonial period mainly relies on the plantation and its main product is tobacco. Chesapeake's economy has paid a huge price for its heavy dependence on tobacco, a single commodity. The fluctuation of tobacco prices and the slump in the tobacco industry have made the tobacco growers miserable to fight against such a problem. As a result, they expanded the production of commodities into other fields, and growers began to try to produce large quantities of grain, make iron and keep livestock. As the variety of commodities developed, the plantations engaged in commodity production had changed. The main force of tobacco planting was changed from small plantation owners to large plantation owners and tenants. The labor force of the economic production also changed greatly in the late seventeenth Century and early eighteenth Century, which was transformed from white contract servant to black slave. This article combed the track of the development of commodity economy in Chesapeake area in colonial period, and explored the management of the plantation that engaged in the production of commodity economy. At the same time, this article also colonized the colonies. The management of tobacco industry in Britain and the United Kingdom was studied.
In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into three parts.
The first part: the growth of Chesapeake's commodity economy. This part mainly introduces the development process of the commodity economy in the colonial Chesapeake region. The main content involves the development of the tobacco industry and the development of the other commodity economy.
The second part: the main body of Chesapeake's commodity economy. The basic status of the main products of the commodity, including the form of production organization and the income status of the plantation, the change of the laborers in the commodity economy.
The third part: Chesapeake's commodity economy management. This part mainly introduces the commodity economic management in the Chesapeake region, including the establishment of the tobacco monitoring system, the sales model of tobacco in the overseas market and the impact of the British colonial policy on the Chesapeake region.
