【摘要】： 在當(dāng)今羅馬史的研究中,銘文的重要性已經(jīng)被越來越多的學(xué)者所認(rèn)識到。本文旨在以新發(fā)現(xiàn)的公元20年羅馬“審判老皮索的元老院法令”銘文為出發(fā)點,考察元首制初期羅馬國家的政治文化特征,以作為對羅納德·賽姆所謂“羅馬革命”命題討論的延續(xù)。本文將圍繞著對“法令”中所涉及的兩大家族——皮索家族與奧古斯都家族——相互之間的比較,揭示自奧古斯都晚年至提比略統(tǒng)治初期,羅馬從個人統(tǒng)治過渡到家族統(tǒng)治的演進過程。 在第一章中,筆者將對“審判皮索法令”銘文的性質(zhì)做一基本判斷。通過將“法令”同塔西佗《編年史》中的相關(guān)記載進行對照,我們有理由認(rèn)為,“法令”不只是一份單純的司法判決,而是以提比略與元老院為首的羅馬官方對由元首繼承人日耳曼尼庫斯之死所引發(fā)的一系列政治危機的應(yīng)對,是為一份政治文件。“法令”中濃厚的修辭色彩與說教意味旨在規(guī)訓(xùn)元首制下人們的道德規(guī)范與行為準(zhǔn)則。 第二章透過對皮索的“除名”懲罰關(guān)注元首制下元老貴族的命運。在梳理羅馬“除名”歷史與挖掘貴族“名譽”文化內(nèi)涵的基礎(chǔ)上,筆者意圖說明,對皮索的懲罰展現(xiàn)了一個人的身后之名在多大程度上取決于他的家庭的現(xiàn)實需要。貴族家庭在創(chuàng)造、維護和控制家庭成員公共記憶中的主動角色得到了官方的充分認(rèn)可。這也意味著他們未來仍能夠在羅馬的政治舞臺上發(fā)揮影響力。被罪個人與家庭境遇的兩重天其實是長久以來形成的一種貴族階層自我保護機制的結(jié)果,它顯示了元首制下傳統(tǒng)貴族政治文化的頑強生命力。 第三章追溯元首制初期一個凌駕于其他所有貴族家庭之上的統(tǒng)治家族的形成過程。筆者將利用人類學(xué)對羅馬家庭制度的研究成果,展現(xiàn)奧古斯都如何創(chuàng)造性地利用了羅馬人對親緣關(guān)系的建構(gòu)機制以及貴族家庭的從政傳統(tǒng)締造出了個獨一無二的“奧古斯都家族”；這一時期,它在包括“審判皮索法令”在內(nèi)的官方話語、形象與儀式領(lǐng)域的大規(guī)模呈現(xiàn),皆以奧古斯都家族成員非凡的德性及其作為一個整體對羅馬國家統(tǒng)治的歷史使命為主題,由此也奠定了元首統(tǒng)治延續(xù)的觀念基礎(chǔ)；反之,一個“統(tǒng)治家族”的出現(xiàn)也打破了寡頭政制下權(quán)力分享與榮譽競爭的游戲規(guī)則。尤其是,這個家族的女性成員開始突破羅馬婦女傳統(tǒng)的家庭角色和私人畛域,甚至可以獲得獨立的政治影響力。這些無不反映出,“奧古斯都家族”的出現(xiàn)給家國關(guān)系所帶來的深遠(yuǎn)變化和影響。 從以上三個方面的分析中,我們可以看到,傳統(tǒng)貴族政治文化的延續(xù)與以“奧古斯都家族”為核心的新的共識政治的形成幾乎是同樣引人注目的。
[Abstract]:In the study of Roman history today, the importance of inscriptions has been recognized by more and more scholars. Examining the political and cultural characteristics of Roman countries in the early days of the head of state, As a continuation of the discussion of Ronald Syme's so-called "Roman Revolution," this paper will focus on a comparison between the two families involved in the Act, the Peso family and the Augustus family. From the later years of Augustus to the early days of Tiberius, the evolution of Roman rule from individual rule to family rule was revealed. In the first chapter, the author will make a basic judgment on the nature of the inscription on the judgment of the Pissot, by contrasting it with the relevant records in the Chronicle of Tacitus. We have reason to believe that the decree is not just a judicial decision, but rather the response of Roman officials, led by Tiberius and the Senate, to a series of political crises caused by the death of the Fuehrer's successor, Germanicus. It is a political document. The strong rhetoric and preaching meaning in the decree is aimed at disciplining people's moral norms and codes of conduct under the system of heads of state. The second chapter focuses on the fate of the patriarchal aristocracy under the Fuehrer system through the punishment of "delisting" of Pisso. On the basis of combing the history of "delisting" in Rome and excavating the cultural connotation of aristocratic "reputation", the author intends to explain. The punishment of Pesso shows how much a man's name depends on the real needs of his family. The aristocratic family is creating, The active role of maintaining and controlling the public memory of family members is fully recognized by the authorities. This also means that they will still be able to exert influence in the political arena of Rome in the future. In fact, it is the result of a mechanism of self-protection of the aristocracy that has been formed for a long time. It shows the tenacious vitality of the traditional aristocratic political culture under the Fuehrer system. The third chapter traces the formation of a ruling family above all other aristocratic families in the early days of the head system. The author will use anthropology to study the Roman family system. Showing how Augustus creatively used the Roman establishment of kinship and the aristocratic family's political tradition to create a unique "Augustus family"; during this period, Its large-scale presentation in official discourse, image and ritual, including the judgment of the Peso Act, is themed by the extraordinary virtue of the members of the Augustus family and their historic mission to rule the Roman nation as a whole. In turn, the emergence of a "ruling family" broke the rules of the game of power-sharing and honor competition under oligarchs. The female members of the family began to break beyond the traditional family role and private domain of Roman women. Even independent political influence can be obtained. All of these reflect the profound changes and influences brought about by the emergence of the Augustus family. From the analysis of the above three aspects, we can see that the continuation of the traditional aristocratic political culture and the formation of the new consensus politics with the "Augustus family" as the core are almost as remarkable.
