【摘要】:1840年鴉片戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)爆發(fā)。戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)以中國(guó)戰(zhàn)敗,簽訂《南京條約》而告終。此戰(zhàn)給與中國(guó)一水相隔的日本敲響了警鐘。位于日本最南端的薩摩藩,其藩主島津齊彬認(rèn)識(shí)到來(lái)自西方各國(guó)的軍事威脅,以及派遣相關(guān)人員前往歐美各國(guó)考察的必要性。但1858年島津齊彬的逝世直接導(dǎo)致了派遣之事的擱置。1863年薩英戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)爆發(fā)。戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)使薩摩藩方面損失慘重,但同時(shí)也使得以五代友厚為代表的薩摩藩有識(shí)之士認(rèn)識(shí)到鎖國(guó)的弊端和學(xué)習(xí)西方的必要性。1865年,以富藩強(qiáng)兵為目的,薩摩藩派遣由19人組成的考察團(tuán)前往英國(guó)考察、學(xué)習(xí)。在前往英國(guó)的途中,留學(xué)生們途經(jīng)了亞、非、歐三大洲多國(guó)。留學(xué)生們對(duì)異域風(fēng)情驚奇的同時(shí),其世界觀更是受到了各國(guó)先進(jìn)科技的沖擊。來(lái)到英國(guó)后的留學(xué)生們努力學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)、參加各種活動(dòng),并選取相應(yīng)的專業(yè)攻讀。被薩摩藩政府賦予考察任務(wù)的考察員與翻譯員積極嘗試與英國(guó)建立友好交往關(guān)系,并對(duì)西歐各國(guó)進(jìn)行考察。一年之后,留學(xué)生一行人以各自的理想為目標(biāo),或是前往歐美等國(guó)家留學(xué),或是回到日本,為推動(dòng)日本明治時(shí)期的近代化進(jìn)程所努力。本文將對(duì)1865年薩摩藩英國(guó)留學(xué)生的派遣背景、旅途經(jīng)歷,以及留學(xué)期間和回國(guó)后的活動(dòng)進(jìn)行細(xì)致的梳理,從而嘗試論述薩摩藩英國(guó)留學(xué)生與日本近代化之間的關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:In 1840, the Opium War broke out. The war ended with the defeat of China and the signing of the Treaty of Nanjing. Its main island, Tzu Kibun, recognized the military threat from Western countries. And the necessity of sending related personnel to Europe and the United States for investigation. However, the death of Shimatsu Kibin on 1858 directly led to the shelving of the dispatch. In 1863, the Samoan War broke out. The war caused heavy losses to the Samoan side. But at the same time, it also made Samoan, represented by five generations of friends and thick, realize the disadvantages of locking the country and the necessity of learning from the West. In 1865, Samoan sent a study delegation composed of 19 people to Britain for the purpose of enriching the rich and strengthening the armed forces. Study. On their way to the UK, the students went through three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe. While they were surprised by the exotic customs, The world outlook has been impacted by advanced science and technology from all over the world. After coming to Britain, students studying English and participating in various activities, The inspectors and translators entrusted by the Samoan government actively try to establish friendly relations with Britain and study the countries of Western Europe. One year later, The foreign students and their entourage take their ideals as their goal, either to study in Europe or America, or to return to Japan to promote the process of modernization in the Meiji period of Japan. This article will provide a background for the dispatch of British students to Samofan in 1865. In order to discuss the relationship between the Samoan British students and the modernization of Japan, the travel experience, and the activities during and after the return of overseas students, were carefully combed in order to discuss the relationship between Samofan British students and the modernization of Japan.
