西方翻譯研究的文化取向、文化初識與文化轉(zhuǎn)向

　　提要:據(jù)文字記載,西方翻譯實踐和理論研究歷時已愈兩千多年。文章梳理西方古代、現(xiàn)代、當(dāng)代譯者的翻譯實踐和理論,得出結(jié)論:西方古代譯語文化取向的意譯同化翻譯策略一直是主流。西方現(xiàn)代翻譯理論以尤金·奈達(EugeneA．Nida)的交際學(xué)翻譯理論和社會符號學(xué)翻譯理論為代表,奈達的動態(tài)對等翻譯思想的著眼點是消除語言和文化之間的差異,以適應(yīng)譯語讀者。文章對近二三十年西方從文化角度研究翻譯這一熱點進行研究,結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)西方文化翻譯理論研究轉(zhuǎn)向的理論標(biāo)識是操控學(xué)派翻譯理論、多元系統(tǒng)論翻譯理論、描寫學(xué)派翻譯理論、解構(gòu)主義翻譯理論、后殖民主義翻譯理論和女性(權(quán))主義翻譯理論等,導(dǎo)致風(fēng)靡西方翻譯理論界的翻譯研究文化轉(zhuǎn)向的真正原因是翻譯學(xué)研究與文化學(xué)研究同時興起的合力所致。

　　difference between language and culture to adapt the target readers．This paper also makes a survey regarding the hot issue of
　　translation studies being carried 011 from the perspective of culture in the West in the recent 20—30 years only to find out the the-
　　oreetical indications of the culture tam of translation studies in the West are manipulation translation theory．polysystem translation
　　theory。descriptive school’S translation theory,deconstmetionist translation theory,postcolonial translation theory,feminist transla-

　　通過大規(guī)模的翻譯和借鑒,各民族使自己擴大精神視野,豐富知識寶庫,更新價值觀念,增強創(chuàng)造激情,提高文化水平,從而把西方文化鑄成一個生機勃勃的實體。西方不僅有豐富的文化翻譯實踐,而且有豐厚的文化翻譯理論積淀。在西方翻譯史上涌現(xiàn)了不少杰出的翻譯家。他們在大量翻譯實踐中積累了豐富的經(jīng)驗,在此基礎(chǔ)上提出了很多閃光的翻譯思想,為現(xiàn),當(dāng)代西方翻譯理論的發(fā)展奠定了堅實的基礎(chǔ)。
