【摘要】：到19世紀(jì)末，美國已經(jīng)完成了從自由資本主義進入壟斷資本主義的過渡時期，并逐漸成為一個世界上新的帝國主義強國。1898年美西戰(zhàn)爭爆發(fā)，正是美國在亞太地區(qū)的擴張以及世界秩序重組的結(jié)果。美西戰(zhàn)爭以西班牙的失敗而結(jié)束，，并在美國和西班牙之間簽訂了《巴黎條約》。在菲律賓戰(zhàn)區(qū)，由于美西戰(zhàn)爭的失敗，西班牙將原屬的菲律賓群島割讓給美國。因此，菲律賓在經(jīng)過超過300年的西班牙統(tǒng)治后，開始進入美國統(tǒng)治時期。由于當(dāng)時的國際背景和美國本身是一個新興的帝國主義強國，因而美國在制定對菲律賓的政治，經(jīng)濟，文化等政策與其他的帝國主義有所不同。從1898年到1946年（除了1941年至1945年日軍占領(lǐng)的期間以外），美國在菲律賓近50年的統(tǒng)治里，在不同的歷史階段又具有不同的特點。而這段美國的統(tǒng)治經(jīng)驗已深刻地影響了菲律賓的政治，經(jīng)濟，文化和社會其他各方面。通過對美國在菲律賓的政策分析，以及這一歷史時期對菲律賓的發(fā)展影響，我們可以看到美國作為一個新興的資本主義強國與舊的殖民國家在對外政策的形成與制定的不同。本文將試圖對美國在菲律賓的政策進行系統(tǒng)，客觀和全面的研究，分析特定歷史時期下美國政策特點以及對菲律賓的發(fā)展影響。
