Prioritized Foreign Language Adoption from an International

一個國家外語課程的設置與安排不是簡單地排列組合。經(jīng)濟依賴、歷史紐帶、政治關(guān)系、文化影響和全球事件等都是外語課程安排的影響因素。盡管所有因素在外語優(yōu)先次序方面都具有影響力,但每一個因素本身的影響程度都取決于國家間的關(guān)系。例如,幾十年前,日本曾經(jīng)是韓國最大的貿(mào)易伙伴,但學習日語的人數(shù)在韓國并不占據(jù)首要地位。然而隨著韓國與中國的貿(mào)易往來,學習中文的人數(shù)在迅速增長。盡管中文在韓國占據(jù)一定地位,但由于美國自身的政治與全球霸主身份在韓國有著權(quán)威的地位,使得中文從未超過英文在韓國的優(yōu)先地位。因此,對一個國家的外語課程的分析,不僅是一種跟蹤該國與其他國家國際關(guān)系變化的手段,也是一種了解該國公民對外國更深層次認知的手段。
