廣州非洲留學生心目中的中國形象

【摘要】:中國經濟社會快速增長的同時,塑造一個良好的國家形象可以為中國的發(fā)展提供積極的外部環(huán)境。以往關于國家形象的研究多關注媒體對外國大眾心中中國形象的影響,,本文則側重來到中國的經歷對于外國人對中國形象認知與評價的影響。本文以非洲留學生赴廣州學習前后心中中國形象的變化作為案例進行考察,這一特殊群體是中國政府和各高校進行公共外交、提升國家形象的重點對象。 調研采用由問卷調查、訪談、小組座談和觀察多種方法組成的三角測量法。調研結果表明廣州非洲留學生對中國形象評判的變化基本上呈“馬太效應”,即來華前就印象不錯的中國“經濟基礎”來華后評價更高,來華前評價不高的中國“上層建筑”來華后評價更低。而妨礙他們評價升高的主要原因是在與中國人交往中語言上和習慣上的不同。同時,原居住國家、來華時間長短以及和中國朋友交往程度是影響他們對華態(tài)度的因素。 以上分析說明教育合作與交流是國家主導的行為,但是需要高校的密切配合,才能提升留學生對中國的正面評價。推動高等教育機構國際化,提高留學生教學質量,促進非洲留學生融入校園、融入社會是塑造良好中國形象,提升中國在非洲軟實力的重要舉措。
[Abstract]:With the rapid growth of China's economy and society, shaping a good national image can provide a positive external environment for China's development. Previous studies on national image have focused on the influence of the media on the Chinese image of foreign people, while this paper focuses on the impact of the experience of coming to China on foreigners' cognition and evaluation of China's image. This paper takes the change of Chinese image before and after African students study in Guangzhou as a case study. This special group is the focus of the Chinese government and universities to carry out public diplomacy and promote the image of the country. The survey was made up of questionnaire, interview, group discussion and observation. The results of the survey show that the changes in the evaluation of China's image by African students in Guangzhou are basically "Matthew effect", that is, the "economic foundation" of China, which has a good impression before coming to China, has a higher evaluation after coming to China. China's "superstructure", which was not highly evaluated before coming to China, is even lower. The main reason for the increase in their evaluation is the differences in language and habits in their dealings with the Chinese. At the same time, the length of time spent in China and the degree of contact with Chinese friends are the factors that influence their attitude towards China. The above analysis shows that educational cooperation and communication is a state-led behavior, but it needs close cooperation from colleges and universities in order to enhance the positive evaluation of China by foreign students. Promoting the internationalization of higher education institutions, improving the teaching quality of overseas students, and promoting the integration of African students into the campus and society is an important measure to shape a good image of China and enhance China's soft power in Africa.
