【摘要】：圍繞與新中國進(jìn)行貿(mào)易的問題,從1956年底開始,美國輿論界發(fā)生了一次大論戰(zhàn)。一派以"百萬人委員會(huì)"為首,反對(duì)對(duì)華貿(mào)易,主張不接觸、不承認(rèn)新中國;另一派由部分宗教領(lǐng)袖、記者、學(xué)者、商人與政客組成,主張擴(kuò)大對(duì)華貿(mào)易,與新中國積極來往。"百萬人委員會(huì)"從經(jīng)濟(jì)、道德、國家安全等多個(gè)角度發(fā)動(dòng)輿論攻勢,宣揚(yáng)與新中國進(jìn)行貿(mào)易"百害而無一利";支持對(duì)華貿(mào)易者的聲音雖然弱小,但他們利用媒體針鋒相對(duì)地進(jìn)行論辯。這場論戰(zhàn)的結(jié)局是"百萬人委員會(huì)"獲得勝利,但是這場論戰(zhàn)卻是"百萬人委員會(huì)"由盛轉(zhuǎn)衰及美國對(duì)華輿論與對(duì)華政策轉(zhuǎn)向的肇始。
[Abstract]:Since the end of 1956, there has been a great controversy in American public opinion about the trade with New China. One faction, headed by the "Committee of one million people," opposes trade with China and advocates non-contact and non-recognition of the people's Republic of China; the other faction is composed of some religious leaders, journalists, scholars, businessmen and politicians, advocating expanding trade with China and actively engaging with the people's Republic of China. " The million-member committee "launched an offensive of public opinion from various angles, such as economy, morality, and national security, to advocate that trade with the people's Republic of China is" all the harm but no benefit. "although the voice of those who support the trade with China is weak, But they use the media to argue tit-for-tat. The outcome of the debate was the victory of the "one million people Committee", but it was the beginning of the "million people Committee" turning from prosperity to decline and the change of American public opinion and China policy towards China.
