[Abstract]:From May 26 to 31, 2012, Xu Shicheng, member of the Honorary Department of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a fellow of the Latin American Institute of Social Sciences, was invited to participate in the first International Symposium on "conditions and challenges in the 21st Century of China and Latin America and the Caribbean: the 21st Century" held in Mexico. More than 100 representatives from 17 countries including Latin America, China, the United States, Spain, Australia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, the Organization of American States, ECLAC, the Inter-American Development Bank, OECD and other international organizations attended the seminar.
