【摘要】：本文基于CFPS數(shù)據(jù)和中國(guó)第六次人口普查數(shù)據(jù),考察了宗族文化對(duì)男孩偏好和女性發(fā)展的影響。結(jié)果顯示,宗族文化強(qiáng)度同地區(qū)男孩偏好和女性發(fā)展顯著相關(guān),表現(xiàn)為宗族文化勢(shì)力越強(qiáng),性別比失衡越嚴(yán)重,女性與男性教育差距越大。以宋代民族戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)作為工具變量,本文進(jìn)一步估計(jì)了宗族文化對(duì)人口性別比和兩性教育差距的因果影響,得到同OLS估計(jì)一致的結(jié)論。在此基礎(chǔ)上,我們討論了城市化和教育進(jìn)步在影響和改變傳統(tǒng)宗族文化中可能發(fā)生的作用。
[Abstract]:Based on the data of CFPS and the sixth census of China, this paper examines the influence of clan culture on boys' preferences and women's development. The results showed that the intensity of clan culture was significantly correlated with the preference of boys and the development of women. The stronger the clan culture was, the more serious the gender imbalance was, and the greater the gap between female and male education was. Taking the ethnic war of the Song Dynasty as the tool variable, this paper further estimates the causal effect of clan culture on the sex ratio of population and the educational gap between the two sexes, and draws a conclusion consistent with the OLS estimate. On this basis, we discuss the possible role of urbanization and educational progress in influencing and changing traditional clan culture.
