Abstract:Yi-FuTuan'shumanisticgeographytakesasignificantpositioninAnglo-Americanhumangeogra-phy,andattractsmanyordinaryreaders.Onthecontrary,manyChinesehumangeographersoftenlackdeepawarenessonTuanandhumanisticgeography,therelativeandspecialresearchesonthemarenotenough.OnYi-FuTuan'sthoughtandhumanisticgeography,therearethreequestionsputforwardbysomeChinesehumangeographers:isitageography?canitspreadandpopularize?whatdoesitdoforChinesehumange-ography?Thisarticleanswersthethreequestions,explainsandexplorestheTuan'sideas,methodologyandwisdom.AsamirrorreflectingthedevelopmentofChina'shumangeography,Tuanisnotonlyapioneerwhichinitiateaschool,butalsoagreathumanismthinker.Heisadmirablebecauseoftheinsistenceonhu-manisticgeographymorethan40years.Hismethodologyisbasedontheexperiencewhichmeanssenses(suchassmell,tasteandtouch),emotionandthought,andhestressesacross-disciplinaryhumanismmethodintegratinghistory,cultureandotherhumanities.Tuanoftenusesomeinterestingcasesandtheelegantlan-guagestodiscoverandpassaprofoundconceptortheory,whichmakeshisthoughtknownandlearnedwide-ly.Tuan'swisdomhavemainlythreepoints:Sensitivityandinsight,fullofimagination,andself-reflection,andthelastisveryimportantforhumanisticgeographer.Tuan'sthoughtandhumanisticgeographyshouldbestudiedandpromotedbyChinesehumangeographersinordertomakeupthelackofhumanism.ForChi-neseacademic,itishightimethattrytheirbesttostudyandpopularizeTuan'sthoughtandhumanisticgeog-raphytoChina.

要：段義孚的人文主義地理學(xué)在西方學(xué)界和

史、人文以及其他學(xué)科，經(jīng)驗的方法，流暢生動的文風值得學(xué)習(xí)和推廣；對其的專門研究應(yīng)當?shù)玫焦膭�；其理論不但具有較大普適性，而且是治療人文素養(yǎng)和精神欠缺的中國人文地理學(xué)的一劑良藥。

社會引起巨大反響，但中國地理學(xué)界對其認識還非常欠缺，相關(guān)研究更是遲滯。針對目前常見的對段義孚的研究是否屬于地理學(xué)以及如何把握和推廣等問題，本文進行了回應(yīng)和解釋，并探討了段義孚的思想與學(xué)術(shù)對中國人文地理學(xué)的啟示與借鑒意義。作為中國人文地理學(xué)發(fā)展的一面鏡子，段義孚不但具有開創(chuàng)精神，而且40多年的堅持更是令人敬佩；廣泛取材于歷
